nz favourites and should win I don't see sla doing much on this track.

Pitch Report: Wasim Akram says 'The pitch is two-coloured. There is some grass on this wicket but it is rolled in. The pitch is expected to assist the spinners later on and the team winning the toss should bat first.'

Bangladesh have won the toss and elected to field

It's slightly drizzling at the moment and perhaps D/L Method might come into play so they want to bowl first.

Bangladesh (Playing XI): Tamim Iqbal, Mohammad Ashraful, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim(w/c), Mahmudullah, Nasir Hossain, Ziaur Rahman, Mashrafe Mortaza, Elias Sunny, Abdur Razzak, Shafiul Islam

New Zealand (Playing XI): Rob Nicol, Martin Guptill, Brendon McCullum(w), Kane Williamson, Ross Taylor(c), Jacob Oram, James Franklin, Daniel Vettori, Nathan McCullum, Tim Southee, Kyle Mills

Why is Rob nicol in the side? Blasted two centuries vs substandard attack and has done nothing since, :umarakmal

Weather not looking very good. Overcast conditions and this is what I hate. Pakistan have to play its games at the same venue

NZ openers started the innings quite strongly, even without McCullum.

I think aside from Mortaza and al-Hasan, the Bangas' bowlers are very ordinary.

Ben: "Seems a lot of people are underrating New Zealand, Guptill has class, Franklin, Oram and Vettori have plenty of experience and are regulars on the World T20 circuit, added to the real talent of McCullum and Taylor. I thnk they'll win comfortably

I just don't get the idea of Franks opening. Why the hell isn't it Macca?

Saw the same in the warm-up but I thought they were just spinning things around just for the heck of it then...

New Zealand doing okaaish but need to score 150 here I feel..
match will be close if Bangladesh batsman bats well..

Watch out for Elias Sunny. A very slippery customer. :ajmal

Haven't seen him prior to this game.

Need to step on the gas to take the score upwards past 140 to have a chance. Otherwise T. Iqbal and al-Hasan can chase it down, the 120ish that is projected right now.

Is Pakistan going to play on the same pitch?
Seems like there is no help for spinners here, not any turn

B'desh can chase a target of around 160-170 at max, anything over that will be difficult for them until n unless D/L comes in...
