Plunkett has come back well after a poor start. He knows how to get wickets in the middle overs.

England seamers is their strength in bowling. Archer and Woakes are excellent with the new ball. Plunkett finds a way of getting wickets in the middle overs.
 
It's time for the other batsmen to step up.

You can't leave everything on your captain.

I’m talking about 2017/2018 Rashid was their main wicket taker along with Plunkett.
 
NZ in trouble now. They don't have a lot of batsmen. Would probably have to satisfy themselves with 220-230.England will chase that out easily.
 
Would want this to be an interesting match but an English victory is my priority.
If I look at it as a neutral fan, don't think this match will be very interesting.
 
Plunkett the hero!!! Bring on the stupid threads - He is the best in the world by a distance compared against Starc, Bumrah, Rabada and whatnot.
 
NZ can't implode like they did in 2015.

Try to set mini targets and keep wickets in hand for the final 15.
 
NZ can’t hope to put up 230-250 and defend it. Must make 280 to make it interesting.

They should also keep a ticker on the screen.
 
This pitch will get slower and slower as the day progresses. I hope NZ get to 260-270 to make it interesting.

Seems like they are trying the same strategy as v India. Could misfire big time if they don’t get 2-3 early wickets.
 
Apart from Pakistan, no team has taken the attack to these England bowlers and consequently have paid the price for it. Jofra Archer has been thrashed by Pakistan while other batsmen look so uncomfortable against him. Don't know why that is the case.
 
Plunkett is so important for England. Looks innocuous and keeps getting top batters out.

England should have batted first. This is a bore-fest. New Zealand are too robotic.

New Zealand settle for respectable defeats easily. India would have brought a lot of color and aggression in the final.
 
In last two world cups host teams chased in the final and won it. Can England continue the trend is the main question

Once you start planning for things like that , they usually don't happen.
 
Ross Taylor is annoyingly bad at working the gaps. A proper dot ball machine.

You wouldn't have blamed the rain if it was Pakistan losing to NZ on a reserve day.

England is so exceptional in all the three departments, that is difficult to believe that they lost 3 matches.
 
May have been worth a review given it hit him above the knee role but Guptill wasted one earlier.
 
Ross Taylor gone. Don't really understand where this NZ innings is going. Fighting and scraping can only get you so far. Should have shown more intent versus Stokes and Rashid. Just aiming to get to 240 is a very poor mentality.
 
Black Caps don’t have 1% of the competitive spirit and the intensity of the All Blacks. Such a dry cricket team.
