I think, PAK team suffers most from pressure - when something at stake. Players groomed in absolute rubbish domestic system (and often play compromised game), which doesn't prepare them mentally. More than skills, I see it's a problem of losing in mind game. For example - that catch drop of Watson (Rahat) - there was nothing wrong in his technique, just felt it too hot to handle that his catch could have taken PAK to WC SF.

Today, Kiwis are in a relaxed mood - I believe PAK'll make a match of it. Old bunch played in Counties for their living on stake - they were mentally tough and street fighter (if they fail at Sussex or Surrey or Gloster - from $10K+/month in 1970s, it'll come down to RS 120/game at PIA or Habib Bank). That's simply too much when after him you have the likes of Latham and Nicole who are both similar to him.

I think, NZ needs more one Ken than another Munro, Guptil, G'Homme - RR isn't a problem, rather someone to anchor the innings. 48/85 is quite good stats actually in that regard. Babar does the same thing and does actually better - now replace Martin, Munro, Latham, Ross, G'homme with Azhar, MoHa, Mian & Sarfraz .......

I think the commentators said Kane has been batting slower in this series specifically. Probably means he scores more faster than usual, but his role is to support his partners and for them to accelerate easier, like for Taylor, Guptill, De Grandhomme, is it not?
