Ronchi 100*. Great knock
Hope its not gonna be a match winning one though.
So what ? We've won 2 WC's with our 120k trundlers. But you haven't done jack with your 150k bolwers in a global tournament. And those 150k bowlers still need the assistance of ball tamperers to pick up wkts.
And for the past few weeks McGarrett has been talking up lakmal
India just won a WC and a Champions trophy in like last 4 years![]()
Who talked about India ? What have you been smoking ???
Isn't Vandokkum Indian ?
I wish lakmal had played earlier. Great net practice.
He looked stunning vs England past series. SL was hiding him to let him off his leash. I had hope in him. This is brutal rear pounding.
If this elf-who-wants-to-be-a-hobbit Ronchi is ripping SL a new one geez their bowling must be ordinary. Is this being played at a cricket ground or a sheep paddock?

There is no way SL chasing this.
give him the credit buddy NZ was at 93/5 when the elf came to bat![]()
Only Dilshan century can save him his century record is pretty good in successful chases
Wow, SL let it go to 350+ from 100 for 5.
I didn't see the match due to being out. Was it a poor bowling or simply gun batting?
I know normally you will have both factors present most of the times in situation like this but which one was a bigger factor here?
The ball was swininging and seaming everywhere. Jeevan mendis came onto bowl and bowled an entire over of half trackers and the momentum completely changed from there
Wicket eased up, SL's let the NZ batsmen settle and they went off.Ok, so momentum changed but this is bit too much. 250+ additional runs given after side was down by 5 wickets within 100 runs. Did SL keep bowling garbage over after over after that?
If ball was seaming and swinging then I will think that batting must have been gun here to get this kind of score.
^ He's a Kiwi.Born in Dannevirke in the Manawatu-Wanganui region of New Zealand, Ronchi emigrated to Perth, Western Australia, with his family at an early age.
Born in new zealand mcfail. Don't hate that people want to move here instead of leave on boats

Not good enough to play for Aus but still good enough to rip you a new oneObvously he didn't wanna live there. That's why he moved to Aus. He just came back to NZ bcoz he wasn't good enough to play for Aus. right ???

I hate comparing cricket with baseball, but I think some of our fastbowlers were recruited from our baseball team. There were at least 50 full tosses...............Yes, SL does have a baseball team, once got semi-final in Asian Baseball Championship.

OK, gives me some idea about bowling here.
Pakistan have a baseball team too IIRC we won asian championship a few years ago and than south asian championship
Part time leggie Jeevan got ripped apart, Lakmal who was supposed to be good was hidden to be unleashed, he pitched baseball deliveries and got smashed. Kulesekara got smashed in death and Senanayake got smashed. Surprisingly, Thisara Perera and Thirimanne bowling 110km/h bowled well.
SL need a solid Kusal Perera opening soon enough. No firepower here.
Must have been depressing to see these two as the two best bowlers
I am bit disappointing with SL effort so far. SL was never a bowling powerhouse but used to be a more disciplined bowling unit. Hopefully, bowlers find the right channel before the WC.
