What's new

No call, no warning, just dropped

A professional outfit or person would never make these issues public How would you like it if your boss went public about your work issues in front of others?

Whatever the issues there maybe its kept in house and dealt with in private You never throw your players under the bus publicly demoaralising them more than necessary

so misbah has done the right thing covering this up, Amir knows privately why the decision has been made

If my job was an international sportsman for the purpose of entertainment, then I would expect every aspect of my career to be scrutinised.

By your logic, chief selectors should never hold press conferences or explain any of their decisions publicly because it would be unprofessional. In fact you are advocating that the professional thing to do is lie.

This situation has clearly demoralised Amir a lot more. Coming out and saying we have dropped you for this reason but you can get selected if you perform well at least gives some guidance.
