Hasan Ali and Amir will soon break into this top 20. However, frankly speaking, I don't take these rankings seriously. Yasir Shah was dropped to No. 17 from No. 2 after ONE bad series in the Test rankings while the likes of Ashwin continue to top the charts despite having bad matches and series in a row. Who takes these seriously anyway? Mortaza is there but Hasan Ali isn't? The Fizz is there for having performed 3 years ago but Hasan Ali isn't? Like I said, pointless. A player cannot be judged on the basis of where he's ranked, at least not for me.

Not surprised, and it explains Pakistan Cricket's current state. Long time pace spearhead Wahab has hardly ever been ranked inside top 50, and Amir too hasn't lived up to his reputation.

Goes to show you all that how poor Pakistani cricket has been in the last decade that no quality players have been produced from the shambles of a cricketing structure the country has had from the past 35 years.

Rankings have no bearing on the result of a match.

Waseem, don't take these rankings seriously.

Masrafe Mortaza and Jason Holder are ahead of Mohammad Amir.

Axar Patel and Mishra ahead of Ashwin? And they're both not in the squad? Surely if the rankings say they're top 20 bowlers they MUST BE top 20 bowlers?!? :broad

A lot of people are confusing overall quality vs performance in a determinate period of time, which is what the rankings are.

Not surprised. We are a rubbish ODI side for a reason. India will slaughter us on Sunday
