Sohaib playing good knock. It is shame that he can't replicate this in international cricket.

faisal akram dropped wow

Faisal Akram is going to get many opportunities in the next year or so.

Umer Khan is another pretty decent young spinner and dont mind him getting few opportunities as well so, kind of neutral about the the change for today.

In international cricket eyes are judging you from the word go and if you don’t perform in 3-6 innings then knives are usually out.

As I have always maintained, when you pick a guy then give him a good run of atleast 10 consecutive matches in whiteball cricket. Otherwise don’t select him to start with. As it takes bit of time for 90% of the players to adjust to that level.

If selectors keep expecting everyone to start delivering everyone from word go at international level then not only it puts pressure on players but, also the musical chair continues and team never gets settled. Yes if a player keeps on failing even after a long run then you give the next one in line a similar run. There has been a lot of inconsistencies when it comes to number of opportunities for different players.

Couldn't agree more. But this kind of approach is only possible if your team is wining 8/10 times.

Look at Rohit Sharma, got ample of chances from 2008-2013 despite being one of the poorest batter of that era. But since the team win percentage was good and his poor run was overlooked.

But I agree, if the batter/bowler has all the ingredients to success, the management should be patient enough to give those lads long run.

I echo your sentiments , a fair run is necessary however with Maqsood the reality is domestic performances have not been replicated in the international arena.

He averages 13 and has SR of 115 in around 20 t20 matches . On his return albeit 5 games he displayed no improvement whatsoever.

This Nasir Nawaz guy needs work but he seems like a brave batsman

Did anyone notice people shouting parchi from the stands when Azam Khan missed the stumping 🤣

Azam Khan needs to go for his own benefit. This is too much abuse for a youngster

I wonder how many matches Pakistan will lose in the WC because of their fielding...

Naseem best bowler on display but he hasn’t bowled to a single decent batsman

Wow Shadab. Putting on a clinic.

I don't think Naseem should be bowling in death overs though. Him & Hasnain so far seem to really struggle at it.

Pinnacle of dumb bowling. Length ball after length ball, nothing different.

Imagine Ashwin coming ahead of Pandya in a T20, it could never happen…meanwhile Shadab comes in ahead of Asif Ali.

Naseem should just bowl out in the power play. He can’t be trusted once that initial burst of good bowling is done!

Naseem looked deflated after SP dropped another catch. Their fielding has cost them 2 matches now.

An impressive batting performance earned Northern a five-wicket win over ATF Southern Punjab in the tenth match of the National T20 played at the Pindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi on Wednesday night.

All-rounder Mohammad Nawaz (player-of-the-match) made full use of two dropped chances as he scored an unbeaten 56 off 35 balls (six fours, two sixes) to spearhead his side’s 176-run chase.

Nawaz added 67 runs for the fifth-wicket with his captain Shadab Khan who turned the game on its head by scoring 23 runs off Naseem Shah’s over -18th of the innings to ease out the nerves in Northern’s camp.

Shadab who got off to a sedate start scored 30 off 20 balls (three sixes, one four) with his three sixes and one four coming in Naseem’s over.

The chase was duly completed on the first ball of the final over with Nawaz hitting the winning runs, top-order batter Haider Ali (40 off 27 balls, five fours, one six) and opener Nasir Nawaz (24 off 15, two fours, two sixes) had earlier set the platform of Northern’s chase.

Left-arm-spinner Hassan Khan took two wickets for the luckless Southern Punjab who are now languishing at the bottom of the six-team table after suffering their fourth consecutive defeat. Northern have now won two out of their three matches.

The left-hander Zeeshan perished for one, Sohaib added 74 runs for the second-wicket with Salman Ali Agha who scored a run-a-ball 24 was dismissed by Imad Wasim.

Sohaib hit eight fours and four gigantic sixes in his innings, he was eventually dismissed by pacer Musa Khan. Musa then got rid of the dangerous Khushdil Shah (20), Sohaib and Khushdil added 49 runs for the third-wicket.

The pair of Aamer Yamin (23 off nine balls, three fours, one six) and Azam Khan (18 off 12, two sixes) hit some big shots in the death overs to propel Southern Punjab to their impressive total.

Musa took three wickets for 40 runs, Mohammad Nawaz, Imad and Haris Rauf took a wicket apiece for Northern.
