It can be a mental block which these domestic superstar cannot get over. Same with Mansoor Akhtar who was supposed to have technically the best batsman in the country and failed miserably internationally.

Haroon once mentioned that the way Mansoor played IK in nets was amazing none of us were able to handle IK in nets like Mansoor did and IK bowled alot to him in net. So it look like IK made a big gamble on Mansoor but he still turn out to be a failure maybe he wasn't strong enough for this level as you mentioned there are a few others too like Mark Ramparkash the biggest domestic bully of history but a failure even after playing 50+ tests. Btw many put the blame on IK for Mansoor but the reality is his debut series was under Miandad before IK captaincy but yes IK did give him a long run

I would play him in the 2nd ODI and then against Bang. Not play Eng game.
In each game he get about 5 or 6 day rest which is enough. You do not want him to sit too long.
