Pakistan has never worked in any way since its great founder passed away.

The only reason Pakistanis are not defending themselves against terrorist police and rangers is Imran has repeatedly demanded peace and no violence. I can understand his view on this as the crooks will launch charges and use any violence for their propaganda. But now they are torturing and killing people, there has to be a line.

The cops and army wouldnt dare with such violence in parts of KPK or the tribal areas, because those people who are poorer yet have self respect and only fear God.

Pakistan will likely default. The army generals have sold out the nation and imo are working with the US to seriously weaken Pakistan's nuclear deterrent. Once there is no nukes, Pak will be like Syria and Iraq.

I would advise overseas Pak to seriously consider removing their assets from this nation which is on the way to disaster.

Former premier and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan has asked lawyers to be united for thwarting attempts to divide the judiciary, ARY News reported on Tuesday.

While addressing PTI workers and supporters via video link, Imran Khan appealed to the legal fraternity to attend the lawyers’ convention being organised by the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA). He alleged that attempts are being made to divide the judiciary.

He said that the time has arrived to choose the right path. He added if the government manhandled Barrister Hassaan Niazi then it could have happened to anyone else.

Better to do some further research instead of just copy pasting an article based on the date of a bill.

PECA had further regulations added through an ordinance that PTI passed because their army masters asked them to and Imran being their puppet had to oblige. The new regulations to prosecute journalists was added to PECA by PTI.

PTI basically gave the license to pick up journalist and torture them. Its hilarious when the President of Pakistan whines about this when the foolish dentist himself signed a paper to allow such things to happen

After sailing through the Senate on Wednesday, the Members of Parliament Immunities and Privileges Bill, 2023 was passed by the National Assembly on Thursday through which the parliamentarians made their arrest almost impossible.

According to the salient features of the bill, now, before arresting a parliamentarian, the arresting agency had to submit a first information report of the case to the Senate chairman and the NA speaker with concrete reasons and obtain permission for the arrest beforehand.

Further, it would be compulsory for the Senate chairman and the NA speaker to issue the production order of the arrested member.

The NA session was presided over by Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf.

The bill was presented by Pakistan Peoples Party MNA Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah. After being passed by the Senate, the bill was presented in the National Assembly.

After the approval of the bill, before the arrest of a senator, the Senate chairman and before the arrest of an MNA, the NA speaker would be provided a copy of the FIR of the case.

A member of parliament could be arrested only after the permission of the Senate chairman and the NA speaker, for which any arresting department had to present solid evidence and reasons first.

Congressman Brad Sherman has highlighted the human rights and democracy issues in Pakistan in a letter to the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, urging him to reaffirm Washington's support that Islamabad should respect the right to speak, organise, and demonstrate peacefully.

Sherman shared the letter (dated April 12) on his Twitter handle, mentioning the US support of Pakistan during times of need, and asking the country's top diplomat to support human rights in Pakistan as it also served the country's national interest.

MURAD SAEED BOOKED IN EIGHT CASES, IHC TOLD

Former federal minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Murad Saeed is booked in eight cases, the police report submitted in Islamabad High Court revealed on Thursday.

Murad Saeed approached Islamabad High Court (IHC) for details of cases registered against him. The federation, IG Islamabad, DG FIA were made respondents in the plea.

Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir heard the case in which the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) said Murad is not wanted by them in any case, however, Islamabad police submitted details of eight cases registered against him in the federal capital.

During today’s hearing Sher Azal Marwat, PTI leader’s counsel said the government has revoked the security of his client and added he has severe security threats by extremists in Swat.

A Malir court on Monday granted Karachi police three-day remand of PTI leader Ali Haider Zaidi in a case filed a decade ago pertaining to “fraud”.

In a video posted by the PTI on Saturday evening, policemen in uniform could be seen taking away the senior PTI leader from his office in Karachi’s Defence Housing Authority area. Another video showed officials pushing and dragging Zaidi by his arm.

A district and sessions court in Islamabad issued another bailable warrant for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on Tuesday in the case of the former premier threatening a woman judge during a public speech.

The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday barred the Punjab police from “harassing” PTI Chairman Imran Khan, instructing them to ensure that the former premier was treated as per the law.

The orders were issued by a five-member bench as it took up Imran’s petition seeking to restrain authorities in Punjab from launching a police operation at his Zaman Park residence or arresting him on the basis of an “undisclosed” first information report (FIR) when the courts get closed.

The plea, filed by Barrister Salman Safdar and Advocate Azhar Siddique, was heard by Justice Ali Baqar Najafi, Justice Aalia Neelum, Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh, Justice Anwaarul Haq Pannun and Justice Muhammad Amjad Rafiq.

Ahead of the proceedings, Imran arrived at the court. Videos showed the PTI chief surrounded by a number of guards who had covered his face with bulletproof shields.

SECTION 144 IMPOSED IN ISLAMABAD AHEAD OF PTI’S RALLY

Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure has been imposed in Islamabad ahead of planned rallies by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in solidarity with Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Umar Ata Bandial, ARY News reported on Friday.

A notification in this regard has been issued by the Islamabad Capital Police, banning rallies in federal capital.

Section 144 bans a gathering of more than four people at one place for rallies and protests and also bans carrying weapons.

In a statement, the capital police spokesperson warned of legal action against rallies without permission. “Citizens may face difficulties due to closure of roads tomorrow”, the police said, advising the residents to get information about routes before travelling.

It is pertinent to mention here that PTI chief Imran Khan asked the workers and supporters to express solidarity with the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) on May 6, Saturday.

In a special message to PTI workers and supporters, Imran Khan gave a call to the nationals to take to the streets for showing their support to the CJP Justice Umar Ata Bandial on Saturday.

He said that the country is currently at a decisive phase of the history. “Today, Pakistan is going through record inflation and unemployment and a mafia is seizing it. The incumbent government is afraid of facing defeat in the elections.”

Khan blamed the government for deliberately taking steps for destroying the Constitution and the Supreme Court (SC). “A mafia is running propaganda against the CJP and SC judges. I am appealing to the nation to come out for showing their solidarity with the CJP on Saturday evening.”
