What's new

offical 20/20 (round 6)

If they keep wickets in hand, this will be a real close finish.

Problem with the lights- Might have to result to the D/L method here.

It's gone all dark.

You can barely see anything out there on the middle. :O

Hopefully they won't use the D/L method cuz it looked like we had a close match on our hands!

139-7 off 15 overs

Someone was stumped

dunno who

you can tell that nothing can be seen if you saw that shot that he played

congrats to Sialkot on victory.

faisalabad will have to beta rawalpindi tmoz to get thru to semis.

Any idea what the revised target is, Abdul?

any links to LIVE scoreboards?

Nope, but Abdul is doing a great job of commentating, so stick around. ;-)

Lahore, won this match because of that brilliant Farhat century.

He absolutely belted the bowlers all over the park, with about 15 fours and 4 sixes.

One wicket to get here for Eagles, after which Farhat will be name MOM.

Farhat is most probably going to be the Man of the Match, since no one else did anything!!

Most probably? :20:

If he wasn't named MOM, it would be a damn travesty. :)))

lahore eagles and faisalbad will have to win their respective games to make semis.

then it comes down to run rate if both win!

No Amjid, if Faisalabad win then they will go through since they beat Lahore Eagles. If they lose and Eagles win then it will come down to run rate.

Actually ive just remembered, Faisalabad lost to Peshawar in the first game, where as Lahore Eagles have beaten Peshawar.

So both Faisalabad and Lahore have played 5, won three and lost two.

Faisalabad play Rawalpindi Rams next and Lahore Eagles play Karachi Zebras.

Karachi Dolphins eager to have Afridi for Twenty20 semis

KARACHI: The Karachi Dolphins, who have made the semifinals of the 2nd Twenty20 Cup national tournament, are keen to have the services of flamboyant Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi in the knockout games.

Afridi has recovered from a ribcage injury, which he sustained during the one-day series against India and was ordered two-week rest which he completed this week.

Rashid Khan, the Karachi Dolphins coach, said if Afridi was completely fit again he would ask him to play in the semifinals against Sialkot Stallions which was going to be a very tough match. "Afridi is a key player at any level and if we can have his services for the semifinal it would strengthen our eleven and make the match very interesting," he said.

Sialkot Stallions who have the services of several Pakistan players including all-rounder Shoaib Malik, Rana Naved-ul-Hasan, Mohammad Asif and Imran Nazir and some other top performers at the domestic level like Shahid Yousuf, Tahir Mughal, Qaiser Abbas, Sarfaraz Ahmed, are seen as the front-runners to reach the final.

Afridi in the first Twenty20 tournament held in Lahore last year also played just one or two games for Karachi and Rashid said his presence could be a big boost for the team as his style of play is ideally suited for the Twenty20 format.

Afridi, who has become a regular in the Pakistan Test and one-day sides, hurt his ribcage during a training session and was ruled out of the one-day series against India.

What a major feather in the cap it would be for the Dolphins if they could have Afridi. :D :D :D

Woah not sure if that is good news as i want the stallions to win!!

Good to see he's recovered though.

If Afridi plays for the Dolphins then ill switch my allegiance from Lahore
Eagles to Karachi Dolphins. In fact we might still end up with a Dolphins v Eagles final!!!

Afridi tends to get too excited in these sorts of matches and he fizzles out

Thats what kind of worries me. In Tests he feels he should score at 100+ strike rate, in ODIs at 200+ and in 20/20 probably 400+!!!

I think his brain explodes when he plays in a 20/20, like he feels like battering every ball he faces for 4 or 6!
