Magnificent cut for 4 followed by the typical Inzi pull for 4.

Inzamam is a great placer of the ball.

This is a gripping Test/

Back to the dropped catch: it was almost as though Browne did not know the ball was in his gloves. He opened the gloves and dropped the ball. Oh boy.

good observation, I also saw him open his gloves while in the air
very unusual
btw Inzi needs to calm down.

yea i bit....not many overs left...pakistan also have to get runs on the board they have to win this test and score a big target...

Inzi going at an Afridi-like rate here

Dujon has read the list of the batsman that Browne has dropped: Steve Waugh, Mark Waugh, Jacques kallis, Sachin Tendulkar and now Inzamam.

Reading that list, it is a good job Browne plays for the same team as Brian Lara.

i think its actually holding on commentary, not dujon.
also holding and tony cozier sound like bitter 80 yr old maids, someone tell them to get a life.

Holding is in the UK. He was commentating on the Eng-Ban Test.

holding is def commentating on this game
i don't know if he is doing double duty or not

And he is certainly not commentating on this W.I.-Pak match.

Tony Cozier, Jeffrey Dujon, Ramiz Raja, Sanjay Manjrekar and Micheal Slater are the commentators in Jamaica.

Lady luck has favoured Pakistan throughout this innings, and the first one as well.

Hope they make it count. In the first innings both Hameed and Malik were lucky to get double figures and the number of plays and misses and dropped catches here has been great from our point of view.

Inzi was most probably out lbw befire he had scored in the first innings, and responded with a fine 50 - now that he has been dropped before he scored I hope he gets a big 100 and puts the match out of reach of the West Indians.

My bad
:)?
dujon and hodling sure sound a like.

Yeh, Dujon and Holding do sound similar and both have a laconic style, though Holding's voice is even deeper! As someone once described Holding: a voice like "bottled thunder"!

Also Holding is a good commentator, whilst Dujon is drab and does not make many incisive analytical remarks.

Pakistan has fought bacxk splendidly today and are slowly taking the game by the scruff of the neck. Another couple of hours with this momentum and we have a firm grip developing on the match.

i have a feeling that Inzi will fall to Gayle!
i hope not before making a really big one..
Inzi has a nick of falling to part time spinners

The WI win featured their main two batsmen scoring substantial runs in both innings, including a century each. Now it seems it is the turn of the Pak duo to return the favor and win it for their country. Both the players are approaching solid 50s and hopefully at least one of them will convert it into a decisive match-winning ton.

Match has reached a critical juncture. If the partnership remains intact till close of play, the fighting spirit and mettle of their bowlers and fielders would be under severe test tomorrow.

Collymore back - time to close my eyes and hope for the best !!

50 for Inzi :D>
We need both batsmen to be there tommorow and continue the platform. That is most important

Thi sis a time when we need Kamal and what he i sbest at. He is really good at giving Pakistan big leads(like against SA and India)

Pressure on Inzi to stay now. YK gone! We need at least two more substantial partnerships.

What a match!

what the heck is afridi doing in now !!!!!!

i'd rather have a bowler or even razzaq - but not afridi now !!!!

farhadd u put the kiss of dearth on myk

There has been no dearth for MYK in the last four Test Series when it comes to scoring. Plenty of runs. ;-)

He has done his job yet again.

Why would they send Afridi with 8 overs to go. It would have been much wiser to send in Razzaq. Oh well, we'll see how things go

this is the kind of situation where u change the batting order, not when inzi sent asim ahead of himself.

i am guessing collymore must be really hurting

Well it shud be even right now but we need to get a lead of 300 runs how we gpnna get that..... inzi knows he is the answer !

Afridi brought up the 200 with a boundary. We need to get at least 130 more runs. Inzi will have to play one of his real great innings for that to happen

Following cricinfo, it appears that Afridi is trying to farm the strike. Can someone whos watching it say if its true or not? :))

50.1 Powell to Afridi, no run, pushes that to cover defensively

the world full of suprises+

just when i though Afridi was playing abnormally(normal for others)..
He returns to his normal(abnormality for others)!
4!!!

50.2 Powell to Afridi, FOUR!!, drives it to sweeper cover, it was uppish but right into the gap between the two cover fielders

next ball and a single good stuff

150 from here on and we have A GOOD LEAD. BUT RAZZAQ AND KAMRAN NEED TO CONTRIBUTE they can bat so they shud be able to do it !

Just as I clicked submit, Afridi hit a boundary and increased his strike rate past Inzis :))

In the series in India, Inzamam's strike rate was similar to Sehwag's. And a lot of the time he was left batting under pressure. That tells you something about the class of the batsman.

good that afridi stayed out there till close of play!! hes gonna blaze tomorrow!

223/4 at stumps

In effect we are 193/4.

Afridi needs to repeat his 1st Test heroics tommorow and Inzi needs at least a century. Then its in the bowlers hands

But we need to fear the early morning collapse. How I hate those things

Honours even with Pak with there nose aheaad. I also fear those early morning collapses but as long as Inzy is there 300 lead is on the cards and hopefully 350 at least. Ideally 400+.

Anyway the 'corridor of unceartainty' is open with both teams so unpredictable and pretty average. Should be a good close scrap.
