What's new

On This Day: August 28, 2006 - Pakistan played their first T20I against England

A broad's near hat trick, an Afridi cameo, an opener's fifty(Tresco's), it was a pretty a much complete T20 match

Pakistan did well in this format, of course until now.

Afridi must have realised at the end that he'd found the perfect format for him.

Professor and Malik played that match and are still hanging around.

If thats not an indictment on Pakistan cricket then I don't know what is.

I think i did watch that game (from hospital).. Afridi was the MoM scoring 20 odd runs and picking 2 wickets IIRC..

I was 5 then. May have seen this game but don't remember it sadly. My cricket memory only starts from 2008/09.

And look how far we have come now...
