collingwood examining the ball.. no reason why?

How did he get hands on the ball. Umpire can examine or he can ask umpire but he can not just pick the ball and examine it!

batsmen can ask for the ball... not against the rules.

Both bell and collingwood were lbw - almost plumb ..but 12th and 13 th player of England came to rescue ..if on this kind of pitch ..those decisions are not given ..what can you do

If the Kaneria one was not out cause of an edge, shouldnt it be out cause it was caught? Or did that not register to Penguin.

but they appealed for lbw

There was just one noise - that of the pad ...action replays are showing it clearly ..evn in real time ..it looks plumb - unless you are Hair or allot ..who is defending the umpires decision

:21: :21:
Could have won by 2-0 but well done Pakistan for winning the series 1-0.
We shouldn't forget that most of us predicted England's win by 2-1 or 2-0 margin.

it looked plumb to me but the ball was very close to the bat and pad, could have been either. hard to give those.

we can debate abt those LBWS all yr long but u have to give credit to both ian and colllingwood for hangin in there so long

Pakistan has won the series which is very good - but is there any point in playing on these kind of pitches ? is it bcoz of the nature of soil - or the curators are not competent enough to make a "result pitch" ?

If they had a made a seaming wicket and we would have lost u would have been complaing that why the hell did he make such a pitch.

One thing u can neva statisfy everyone

Yes ..credit goes to them - but one will also have to admit that bowlers have let themselves down except shoaib as far as this innings is concerned - maybe they know that the series is won and not trying hard enough

Are u trying to suggest that there are only two kinds of picthes - dead ones and seaming ones ? There is nothing in between them ?

Have they elbows made of steel ? Bell and Collingwood ! now - why dont they wear guards ?

Anyway, did you guys see the bruise on Shoaibs shoulders ? Mega bruise or what !

I think u didn't watch the whole session ..he was bowling 2/3 good deliveries in an over and then the inevitable loose delivery outside the leg stump very regularly

he only drifted down the leg 2-3 times. was spot on the whole time.

Frustrating day so far. We need a mid-wife to get these two bastewards out..

Anyhow we won 1-0 ;)

Well dont count the win out yet, we dismissed Indian team in session and a half there is no reason to belive that we wont be able to do the same here.

:O :O :O :O :O Woa such an optimistic view from a pessimist of Pakistani Cricket :23:

awww I rather watch paint dry. Well on this dead pitch if the umpires don't give lbw's then all hope is lost. Still I am hoping for a pakistan win.

the pitch was much worst...
we were 1-0 down...
the last session was lot longer....

Matches are hardly drawn elsewhere outside Pakistan - Is that the reason very few turn up to watch even when free tickets are given out ? what is the reason for so many draws in Pakistan ?Are these flat tracks intentional or is that the curators don't know their job ?

Well I still belive we can win we just need a couple of quick wickets then the game is in the bag.

Nauman bhai we had a beast know by the name of Shahid Khan Afridi playing then :P

I hope we can pick atleast 2-3 wickets before the end of day, would be good for the confidence of the bowlers OR the remaining 8 wickets :D

I think a couple of wickets will put a new life in this draw. I still believe it will be a draw.

well that's the good part of cricket especially Pak cricket....
it's never over till it is....
but i don't expect a Pak win here...
but if they do...i will brace it

If these two play out the whole day England will consider it as a moral victory for them like we did at Mohali we must have them against the walls before the end of the day even if we dont win.

we have 1 1/2 sessions still, i say we can still pull off a decent win

pieterson gone

hasan razas magic hands take the catch!

Hihaaaaaaaaaaaa, now we are back in the game, come on Danish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
