News just in, the GAREE has run out of gas!

Unfortunately Bish has become a bit of whiner on this tour (obviously has personal issues with Pakistan at the mo). However I am not willing to say it to his face next time I bump into his 6ft 5in frame!

I always remember him as very quiet and thoughtful. Actually in keeping with his name he never travelled without his bible.

If you're not going to say it, I will and I will be looking down on him, even if it is by 2 inches, something that very few can claim to do.

you can't blame Pakistan, this kinda stuff happened in South Africa in the past, and even in the Premiership (Wimbledon v Arsenal, Selhurst Park).

Hota Hai.

Hota Hai.

Wasn't that meant to be as a result of a match fixing gang in Malaysia?

Ok let's not go there.....

It's been over 1.5 hours since play was stopped. It looks like this match being completed is less and less likely.

Exactly.

call the match off as later the start the more it is unfair in the windies due to th e dew factor and all

What kind of a weirdo calculation is that. Windies would have finished with 225 at the absolute most, yet we'll need to chase at nearly 6 an over for over 30 overs.

it's almost chasing their 50 over score in 35 overs.

i am only happy that the thousands at the ground will be able to see the game.

For the first time in my life I hope Pakistan losses

191 target off 35 overs. so how many many power plays will there be now?

On the whole the DL method is the most fairest system. Chasing a higher run rate over a shorter number of overs makes more sense than previous methods. Hence why it has been adopted throughout and for so long.

Match situation: So, we have final word: Pakistan need 191 from 35 overs. First Powerplay is 10 overs, second four, and a maximum of seven overs per bowler. The openers, Imran Farhat and Mohammad Hafeez, are out in the middle.

Its better than the crappy method used in 1992 world cup!!

The 1992 method basically was a farce. if 10 overs were lost the calculations were made thus:-

Excluding maiden overs, the 10 lowest scoring overs were deducted from the inns, Meaning that the rule almost always benefitted the team defending the score!

Hafeez/farhat need to start to fire here as an odi pair.

Ganga made such a mess of that. All he had to do with dislodge the bails. Instead he couldn't even take the stump out with the ball in his hands.

:))) :D

theres some confusion going for the second run, Ramdin moves in front of the stumps and flicks the ball to Ganga, who had already hit the stumps before he got the ball, in the end he desperately tried to pull the stumps out, but by then the batsman was safe

theres a sound there as it passes Farhat's pads, Ramdin takes and the umpire signals wide, even though the noise suggested it may have clipped the pad

Pakistan require another 184 runs with 10 wickets and 33.2 overs remaining

Pakistan RR 4.20
Required RR 5.52

Good strike rotation here, singles been picked up with ease.

This is something pakistan has been guilty of not doing in the past.

Good ball from taylor got Hafeez pushing at that one, lucky didnt get an edge

Bad signs as far as the running between the wickets goes.

Seems like they're a bit flustered.

The power outage situation may have cost Pakistan dearly. They went from having to chase probably 4.5 per over to having to chase 5.5 per over.

Hafeez is the captain of Faisalabad cricket team....Faisalabad are the champs... today he needs to bat in twenty/20 mode

Hafeez gives Bradshaw the charged. Take a big swing. Head way out of balance. Misses it and the umpire gives it wide!

WOW. Bradshaw got unbelievably steep bounce that time. To all the people that say PCB isn't preparing them, look at this wicket.

This is quite the test for these two openers. Neither of them have responded well.

Hafeez top edges a pull shot. Safe! Wow, great action going on out there in the middle.

Another wide signalled. That was a close one again, Taylor doesn't look happy with it.

why are you so worried about Taylor , other bowlers and umpires calling a wide

Pakistan require another 168 runs with 10 wickets and 30.0 overs remaining

Pakistan RR 4.60
Last 5 ovs 20/0 RR 4.13
Required RR 5.60

another shocker way outside leg stump, swings very late too and evades Ramdin's dive to his left, extras conceded all the way to the ropes, poor bowling

Bradshaw with a horrible start to the 6th over. First a wide. Then 5 wides!

short ball down leg stump, very wide and its duly called so by the umpire, Hafeez was into his pull shot early but couldnt make contact

I'm not worried about him. Just saying he showed some dissatiffaction with the decision.

You should at least mention that these are from cricinfo.

he split open his finger. Got stitches on it apparently.

I have to say, very sloppy cricket going on out there.

The batsman are unable to handle the deliveries. The bowlers are bowling way too many wides. The fielders have missed two easy chances to get an out.

must be the lights?

I have noticed that Hafeez is pretty poor runner and judge of singles and runs. Also has not method of Yes or No or Wait. Farhat is not an angle btw.
