I was going through squads and this is what Central Punjab batting would like

A Shahzad
Salman Butt
Azhar Ali
Babar Azam *
Umar Akmal
Kamran Akmal +
Fahim Ashraf

That’s the best TTF line up there.:uakmal:kakmal:shezzy2:faheem:azhar2:vk2:vk2

Just when you thought Babar is carrying worst batting line ups for Pak and Karachi kings, you see this.

This is a true test of Babar, let’s see how he fares, especially being a captain

Some pretty bad influences around. Needs to be strong as a captain.

It'll be interesting to see how he captains his relatives :))

In a domestic game thats a very strong batting line up. I think it would be a shame if central punjab doesnt win.

Thats one hell of a line up. Also going to be a true test for babar.

Also the games of central need to be properly analyized. The fielding position and all. Whether the team wins because od its strength or because of the captain

I agree about the strength. That’s a very strong batting line up especially for list A.

But, it’s just so funny how they all came together in one team. All TTFs and Babar.

Hopefully, it doesn’t influence his game in a negative way.

That's a stacked batting lineup for domestic cricket.

Although Umar Akmal and Ahmed Shahzad in the same dressing room is devastating. :yk

It is maybe due to the fact that regional teams are representing some names with which regions can relate to and all of them are from Punjab but I understand what you are saying but I dont think it should be a problem as Babar has played decent amount of cricket with these guys in domestics.

People expect changes over night. They werent gonna drop the previous players and just sign up new ones.

This will take time.

Line up is strong for domestic. On paper. Mentally i dont know how they will do under pressure.

Yeah I know.

But, PCB should’ve been a bit sensible here.

It’s jus like making all crazy students in the class sit together during exam.

Just like they separated Adnan Akmal, they should’ve separated Shezi and Chotu Akmal and similarly Kamran and Butt Saab.

May be PCB wants to train Babar for captainship by giving him the toughest training, lol.

Mate, relax. When did I say that they should be dropped?

I was jus saying it’s so weird that they all are in one team and Babar.

I agree that atleast 1 or two of these names could have been in the Southern Punjab team as it doesnt have a lot of international experience except Hafeez in the batting lineup.

However, I believe Babar will do well as he knows, has played cricket with all of them and on top of that irrespective of the mistakes Salman Butt, Kamran Akmal have made in their careers they will be able to guide Babar Azam in terms of handling the responsibility and evolve as a leader.

This is a very strong lineup for the domestic arena.Perhaps the strongest of all.

But the first thought that came to my mind was also that whether Babar will be strong enough to stand up to all these seasoned veterans and lead them.Especially the Akmal brothers who must have always seen him as the chota bacha of the family and guided him around must now take orders from him.Especially since they have a history of melodrama and creating scenes.

Let's just hope all goes well and Babar doesnt get stuck in some sort of fiasco. If he can get on top of all these players and successfully lead them to victory and make them comply to his orders and hold his authority , he can really do anything :ssmith

Azhar did a fantastic job and reached an average of 45 as an opener, Shehzad has a very good average in Tests as an opener, Akmal has a very good away record outside Asia, Butt is still superior to imam, Kamran has been in excellent form in recent years and not to forget, Salahuddin has a stellar FC record and better than Babar himself.

To conclude - don't be surprised, if Babar doesn't end up as the highest run scorer in his team.

It's also a great test for him.

Can he lead these oddballs to victory? If yes, then he's sealed his spot as Pakistan's next captain.

Look at it positively. Maybe Ahmed Shehzad and Umar Akmal might learn good things from Babar Azam

Selection is based on a set criteria. These ttfs have long been around in domestics and they will continue to do so due to how the system has been. The goal is develop a system that weeds these players out sooner and I’m sure this new system will. It’ll take a few years until the toxic waste is completely flushed from our cricket.

If they are supposed to guid babar then we should say good bye to Babar's consistency and his attitude

Or it can be vice versa.
Their infamous attitude can invade on babar.
And babar will end up learning from them.
