Seems like the bowlers just run in and throw the ball hoping for the best.

When they have pitches suiting their kind of bowling they pick wickets and everything looks good.

But when you have a wicket like that one today you need to have plans. When they go for runs they don’t have a plan B like England had today. The way England bowled in the last 5 overs was amazing.

David Willy is not known for death bowling but he kept bowling wide yorkers to certain players and short-pitched to others, all according to a plan made with captain.

What the hell are our coaches and captain doing?

Problems with our fast-bowling unit:

1) Faheem opening the bowling.

2) Pakistani bowlers bowling too short.

3) Not bowling yorkers.

4) Lack of aggression.

5) Awful death-bowling.

Valid questions raised. Willey and Morgan planned the end overs bowling and executed it well while our bowlers were bowling like bowling machines with no thinking or plan what so ever.

Azhar Mehmood has been a poor bowling coach. Amir and Junaid both deteriorated under him and now Hassan and Shaheen almost going the same route.

I really didn't understand what bowling selection Pakistan went in with today.
We need Amir. There is no one in this team that can bowl at death as good as Amir does.

Kaptaan Sarfraz and coach Mickey at their best!

Masterstroke list:
-Play Faheem
-Play Yasir
-Open the bowling with Faheem instead of Hasan
-Bowl Yasir/ Not bowl Haris enough
-Play defensive at the 40th over mark by bowling with Faheem instead of trying to take wickets with Hasan
-Having Sarfraz come in to bat too late
-Send Faheem in to bat before Hasan

Moral of the story is, just play 4 genuine pacers, no need to play Yasir or Faheem, they are just as bad as any of the others with the bat, but even worse with the ball.

As bad as Amir has been, he's atill an upgrade over Faheem in all 3 facets of the game, plus at least he has a reputation, which makes the opposition cautious of him.

I'd like to see 4 pacers play the next games. Junaid, Amir, Hasnain, and a rotation between Shaheen and Hasan. They don't need to play every game, they are already locks for the world cup, in fact I wouldn't even play either of them if Shadab wasn't injured.

Well said @IAJ.

Our bowlers just say Bismillah and run in hoping for the best. Where was the bowling planning we saw in 2017 Champions Trophy ?

However we could come up with the greatest of plans, but when you have Faheem and Yasir in your attack to execute those plans...

These guys play tape ball cricket and are specialist in yorkers, i wonder what happens when any of these guys hand shakes Azhar Mahmood, Mediacracy starts right there.

Literally this
Waqar in comms must have been tearing his hair out.
Terrible bowling at key points.
MAKE the opposition work for their runs don't serve up tasty deliveries and ske them to simply tuck in.

What is the point of Faheem? Why no Yorkers among the whole pace attack? Where is in-game intelligence to work out the batsman?

Whole of Pakistan cricket is in shambles now because they only thing which we could rely on is not reliable atm.

They bowling to Bairstow is one of the worst I have ever seen. If you look at his shots, every single was towards leg side. Not once did we bowl a wide yorker to him or short pitched delivery outside off.

Azhar Mahmood is just collecting his salary and listning to Sky Sports commentary, enjoying Rob Key and co praising his country stints.

England came out with a plan against Imad, bouncers outside off and he was out twice there.

I've been saying this since Azhar Mahmood became the bowling coach.

I do feel his head is on the chopping block and we'll see what happens during the WC, because I know for a fact the ex-players aren't happy with our fast bowlers.

May be it’s just a ploy and we are saving them
For the World Cup? Come World Cup 5 overs of non stop Yorkers!

Knee jerk reaction. These bowlers have taken wickets in the past. There is a lack of planning here with the coach and captain not knowing what the best combo is. Sarafraz seems like a headless chicken with little control over the team it seems.

No 1 was rectified.

2, 3, 4, have seen none of them on a seaming pitch!

Its the bowling coach. You gotta think whats the common denominator? Why these bowlers perform better in PSL under different coaches

Do you really believe the coach was instructing Afridi to bowl short or legside with the new ball?
