Pakistan (135/8) defeat Bangladesh (124/9) by 11 runs in a nail-biting encounter of the virtual semi-final of the Asia Cup 2025

Tbh as a person who has no agenda either against riz/bar or hesson/agha, I think babar still can come into the mix if he’s willing to take more risks in T20s. Rizwan on the other hand is a limited player who shouldn’t be brought back at all.

There are walking wickets in every bloody format! T20 is the least of concerns

Babar and Rizwan feature in the Test and ODI side undisturbed. Wahaan kya ukhaar liya in dono ne??
 
What's the point of bringing ba/riz back? What did babar and rizwan even do to warrant a return? CPL 🤣🤣

And we were thinking that they will be replaced in odis too, farhan fakhar opener one down saim, four agha, five hasan nawaz, six haris.
 
We dont need an another accumulator in team in babar, salman is enough and now we have hussain talat. Babar is not good player of spin.

The more pertinent question is what have the other batsmen done to keep Babar and Rizwan out?

No one can justify the selection of clowns like Agha, Saim (current form) and Fakhar over Babar and even a blind person can see that Rizwan for all his limitations is still miles better than Haris.

It is actually quite telling and shameful of the current team that PCB have decided to bring Babar and maybe Rizwan back for the next series even though the Asia Cup isn’t over and there is an outside chance that Pakistan might even win the tournament.

This is how bad the batting has been. PCB drop its two most influential players and put their faith in them but they failed to repay because they are not good enough.

It shouldn’t stop here - next step is to sack Agha as captain because he doesn’t merit a place in the team.
 
Only dumb fools thought Babar and Rizwan’s T20I careers were over. This was always going to happen because the replacements aren’t good enough.

Babar and Rizwan are the two best white ball batsmen in Pakistan in spite of their shortcomings.

That’s not what I said. What I am saying is that PCB have already decided to bring them back for the next assignment even though the Asia Cup isn’t over yet.

PCB is basically admitting that they made a blunder even if Pakistan plays out of its skin and wins the Asia Cup from here on.

This is a slap in the face of the underperforming batsmen and a clear signal by PCB that they have lost faith in these players and it was a mistake to drop them in the first place.

I really hope I’m wrong but I have a bad feeling that same Husain Talat will play a vital inning in a losing cause due to slow scoring, we might underestimate our bangla bros and if that happens it could cost us for sure.

Honestly! it might be better if Bangladesh bats first otherwise I would say the match would be around 60/40 in Bangladesh’s favor...

Only in Pakistan cricket can the stock of players like Agha, Haris, Sahibzada etc. be higher than Babar and Rizwan.

I am glad that this delusional nonsense is coming to an end and sanity has finally prevailed.
 
Hopefully Pakistan don’t disappoint , chasing is preferred but knock out game and watching how Pakistan messed up chasing 130 last time . So it’s ideal Pakistan bat first and BD batting can be put under pressure

And this will make way for RizBar citing the reason that new players can't play at a higher strike rate.

Same playing 11 for Pakistan. This team is carrying too many accumulators and our of form players..Agha and Talat are accumulators, while Saim and Haris are non reliable. Bangladesh should have bat first put decent Total on the board. This pakistan team can crumble under pressure. They made a mistake imo

Who is the keeper- bat. Format by format.
 
Pakistan believes in giving opposition aittle bit help, selecting a badly out of form batsman Saim whilst also playing non contributing Agha and Haris. So Pakistan going into the match with 3 batsmen short, it's good that Nawaz and Faheem can contribute every now and then occasionally.
