What's new

Pakistan (135/8) defeat Bangladesh (124/9) by 11 runs in a nail-biting encounter of the virtual semi-final of the Asia Cup 2025

Well. They should have scored 160. It shows that Rizbar or otherwise , batting is just crap.
Yes 160 was a fighting total, but I would still consider Bangladesh favorites given they chased down 168 against a decent bowling attack before.

This is just a joke.

It’s different from a bilateral. These sides like Afghanistan and Bangladesh haven’t tasted winning tournaments or getting to finals much. It’s unfamiliar territory for them so they’re gonna be nervous.
Difference is Bangladesh has played semi of CT, QF of Wc, 3 Asia cup finals, also last WT20 they had an equal chance as Afghanistan too to make semis . At some point they have to cash in atleast one.

Bangladesh have made it to Asia Cup finals 3 times (2012, 2016, and 2018).

Also, Pakistan aren't exactly a top 5 team. Gap isn't huge. :inti

Need to get the RQ rate to 8 as soon as you can.

3 economical overs somewhere.

Abrar 4 overs massive!

Nawaz will have to do a job here. This pitch is good for spinners.

Didn't they just get bowled out for 127 yesterday ? SL don't have a reliable bowling attack apart from Hasaranga

Yes but they haven’t won one yet I think 😄. Until that happens there will be that insane pressure to get that first one. So they might choke here. Just being hopeful I guess.

Good recovery, but Bangla brothers deserve to win

One thing current pak cricket management has done is to reward players with games who bring in aggressive mindset and goes for shots.. in the current scenario it may not bring immediate result due to poor development of current players but in the longer run it will yield results as anyone new who wants to play for pak would know that they have to have big hitting game .. obviously their technique and shot selection has to be good too but .. this is the way forward
If the idea is to play this expansive brand of cricket, I don't understand why we're selecting batsmen like Agha (T20I SR of 110) and Talat (115). Yet Hasan Nawaz finds himself dropped (unless he's injured ?) despite striking at 158.

Anyway hopefully our bowlers can keep us in the tournament. I'm still at work and may need to reach for some of the anti-anxiety meds here.

Advantage Pakistan. All Pak has to do is Just flash a bit of aggression and they’ll scatter instantly, tripping over chairs, vaulting fences, mowing down the crowd, and bolting like they just spotted BSF :LOL:

Lol, this emon guy is useless. I have not seen anything significant from him during this asia cup at all. And Tanzid was dropped for this haha

Good News : It's out
Bad News : It was attacking shot

So tigers not gonna just block.
I’d prefer if they attack and get out. If they go out blocking and not giving up their wicket they’ll probably win this due to their total.

Even though Bangladeshi brothers are weak, short and pretty much lacking in skills they can still win this game if they dont lose too many in the first 10 overs

Not sure why Pakistan hired this guy (Hesson). I hope BD will never hire this clown.

He is always salty. He looks salty. He speaks salty.
Hesson is a very good strategists and known for his man management skills. He was sucessful coach for New zealand cricket team. Took NZ to no..1 on T20, No2 in ODIs. The problem is not coach, the problems are your players and their development. In the highest level head coach job is more of a man management. He is not going to teach technical stuff . pakistan problem is they don't have skillfull players. They have hit and miss players .
