What's new

Pakistan (140/6) defeat South Africa (139/9) by four wickets to seal the 3-match T20I series by 2-1 margin

SA should try to reach 130-140 range to make a match of it.. Sahibzada and Saim can kill the game inside 6 overs if target is around 110-120 like what happened last match.
Pakistan should open with Babar and Salman Mirza to make a match out of it.

Reverse the batting order

Babar opens with Salman, then Usman Tariq at 3

Every team is embracing t his "keep going" approach. Oflate teams are faltering due to that more than clicking. Several collapses have happened due to this "keep going" approach. No more Kohli style innings building.

Very stupid captaincy in my opinion...but what do I know. They have 3 pacers...2 spinners...and 2 part timers. Why not have pace on one side and spin from other while SA was struggling to score. The wicket finally fell, but killer instinct again lacking as in the past.

Credit to the bowlers. They got destroyed in the 1st match and showed up to the ground with no juice or energy and performed like it. They looked lifeless thinking it would be an easy win and they got their rude awakening but they have on song since.

Some veteran SA players are rested but a lot of the guys will be fixtures in SA lineup for years to come like Pretoria's, Brevis, Breetzke. Reminds me a bit of Pakistan destroying Australia in 2018 T20's with veterans being rested but guys like Head/Marsh gained valuable experience and went to become beasts. I'd expect the same with these SA batters.

Thank God, Usman back with gloves sanity prevailed
why did they try Farhan for sometime , Is Usman injured or trying to spoil Farhan as a batter...

Pak players are not master of their primary role , concenterates on their secondary skill or trying to pick up a new skill tends to lose their game plan as a primary batter or bowler in the first place and takes months and series to make a comeback like Saim ytd and Babar still trying but he hasn't picked up bowling but still out of form for a player who dominates all formats few years ago..

Batting first is always tricky. You don't know what is good total. You go hard and collapse and you end up scoring below par. They are atleast 35 runs short

They never should have reached this total, but actually am happy about it as it gives us a total to practice chasing. 120 or below really isn’t good practice.

Thinks we’ll win this comfortably regardless.

Corbin Bosch has been a nightmare for Pak in this series , if SA finish well with 140 carrying this last over momentum into the bowling Pak can stutter in the chase here.

140 is a good total. Large enough something to get some good experience chasing. Not big enough that I think we’ll actually lose this.
