What's new

Pakistan (140/6) defeat South Africa (139/9) by four wickets to seal the 3-match T20I series by 2-1 margin

There are atleast dozen collapses with this line up in this year alone. Almost like even 20 overs is too many overs for this line up. Most of the guys had an average stay of 8 or 9 balls. Farhan stayed long. But hurt the team with dot balls. Md Nawaz is the only one who looked decent in recent times. But for few cameos from Shaheen this unit would have fared even worse. With or without Babar this unit is still woefully inadequate. Babar's return is purely on Agha and co. Had he scored some runs in Asia cup things may have been different. He was pretty much clueless with bowling changes. In one match he did not use Nawaz at all. IN anothe rmatch he did not use Faheem at all. He has no real command over his seniors like SHaheen, Rauf. They do whatever they want.

"he hasn’t prioritised his buddies or hijacked certain batting positions in the line-up," - You think Shaheen Afridi as a captain would do that? Shaheen atleast merits his place in the side.
Who cares?.Win is win. For a middling side will take any thing any day

Great win today for the boys. A shame it comes under a club level player like tulla Agha but great to see the all time T20 top scorer back in business. Six hitters so called like Farhan and Duck Ayub could not hold a candle to the King today. Happiest sporting day of the year for me. We are back!

The real story of the match is how well the SA bowlers bowled with the ridiculous amount of dew on the ground

Had it been our bowlers, the game would have finished 5 overs earlier and the dew would have been blamed

SA bowlers proved that you can still bowl heavy balls under these conditions

It is definitely easier to bat in these conditions than to bowl and defend a low total

Credit should be given to Pak batters who utilized the favorable batting conditions. You still have to draw benefits out of the conditions regardless of how favorable they are

Nevertheless, winning a game with the advantages of favorable conditions does not guarantee good results in future

Congratulations to Pak team but a lot of work needs to be done. Losing 6 wickets with dew helping the batters, should have not happened. Should have ideally won by 6 or 7 wickets

Babar has shown a glimpse of his class but he still has a long long way to go.... Cannot be living on the hype of this inning for upcoming games...

Babar has to score runs at a good pace like he did here... Some shots he played were outclass..

Like people say, "FORM IS TEMPORARY BUT CLASS IS PERMANENT"

This is a significant innings from Babar's perspective more than Pakistan's perspective. His spot is more or less secure for world cup selection.

I think game changer for Pakistan in this series was Salman Mirza.

His opening spell in 2nd game generated the momentum and rest chipped in after that.

Yep... Have not seen much praise for this guy... He has been brilliant in this series... He did great in last tri-series as well...

Good to see the series win after game 1. The bowlers showed out in the 2nd & 3rd match.

The batting however, still seems quite poor. Nearly everyone seems to be out of form and there is no semblance of consistency in the batting. They also need to compile a batting order that makes sense. Usman Khan is terrible and shouldn't be on the squad. Salman Agha coming to bat at 4 or later makes little sense too as he is just an accumulator. I'm not sure what the answer is to fix these issues as they simply have everyone who can only play as a top order batsmen and nobody who is reliable in the middle whatsoever.

Since Haris and Usman couldn't maximize their chances, I have a feeling Rizwan may return to T20 team soon.

Usman's Come back is inexplicable. He has done nothing to warrant a come back except Haris's poor Show and Selectors did nt want to falk back on Rizwan due to ego and pride

Never seen PM congrats for useless ODI bilateral series win against South African 'C' side. This only happens in Pakistan

No wonder you guys are above India in happiness index.

:klopp :kp

Let us celebrate our choti choti khushyaan such is rare in Pakistan Cricket plagued by endless defeats in all formats and a cycle of inconsistent tried and tested failures
