Pakistan (148/0) thrash Zimbabwe (145) by 10 wickets in the second ODI to level the 3-match series 1-1

Good to see Saim enjoying rather than thinking about securing his spot further.

He's confident and doesn't fear failures unlike our so called modern great Babar

Saud is decent when there is poweplay as he has shown in the PSL, he doesn't have the 5th gear when the field is spread so the problem will presist.
But he's good at rotating strike and can hit the gaps when set. He's the best available option ,much better than other fake middle order players we've been carrying.

Good 50 from saim but I've noticed a trend that he only scores such knocks during very low scoring affairs.

Again it isn't his fault that the target is low, but eventually pakistan will be given a 300 to 350 target to chase sooner or later down the line and these sorts of innings will be needed from him.

No point in scoring these impressive rapid fire 50's for 140 chasing scores but not replicating it when the target is 350
has nt had any target above 250 so far since his debut

But these should surely give him confidence. Now imagine if he fails here or similar level teams, his confidence of playing quality opposition will be shattered

Abdullah shafique is practising for test matches against South Africa... He is just honing his technique.. Just wait and watch, he will take rabada and co to cleaners..

Whatta century. Full on phainty from Saim.
Yeah ok it's only Zimbabwe but this does wonders for his development. An attacking opener is a must in ODIs

He will not like Pakistan winning anything as long as Rizwan is in the team.
Bilkul sahi pakra.

Some corrections: any Pakistan team where a selfish, undeserving player with strong political connections is projected as a world class player who gets to do whatever he wants.

Mohammad Rizwan in post game media talk:

Past is past, if I'm talking to you right now, that's also in the past and we are focusing on the next game. The bowlers Abrar, Faisal and the others did well and then the innings from Saim Ayub was exceptional. What we have done is in the past and that's what we focus on. [on Abrar] He is a very talented and exceptional player, unfortunately he was injured in the last couple of years, what he did today is just 70% of his talent. We expect him to perform 100% in the future.
