After a humbling whitewash at the hands of Australia, the West Indies are back in action—this time on home-away-from-home soil in Lauderhill, Florida—as they gear up to face a confident Pakistan side in a 3-match T20I series. The cricket-loving crowd at Central Broward Park & Broward County Stadium is in for a treat as two explosive teams collide in what’s expected to be an electrifying series.

With both sides boasting plenty of firepower, this series holds extra weight as part of their build-up to the next global ICC event. Pakistan, known for their unpredictable flair, still smarting from their slip-up in Dhaka will be eager to put things right, while the Windies will be desperate to bounce back and reignite their campaign with the support of a passionate Caribbean-American fanbase.

With batting-friendly pitches and passionate crowds expected in Lauderhill, this series could come down to who handles pressure better. Expect runs, drama, and plenty of flair as cricket takes center stage in the USA.

Squads:

West Indies:
Shai Hope (captain), Jewel Andrew, Alick Athanaze, Jediah Blades, Keacy Carty, Johnson Charles, Roston Chase, Matthew Forde, Jason Holder, Akeal Hosein, Shamar Joseph, Gudakesh Motie, Sherfane Rutherford, Romario Shepherd.

Injury setbacks shape West Indies T20I squad to face Pakistan

West Indies will take on Pakistan in a three-match T20I series to be played in Florida, USA, starting 31 July.
West Indies have announced a 14-member squad for their upcoming T20I series against Pakistan, with injuries and workload management prompting a few changes.

Star pacer Alzarri Joseph has been rested for the series, having featured prominently during the recent UK tour and the home series against Australia, which ended on 28 July.

Evin Lewis, who missed the final T20I against Australia due to injury, will remain unavailable for the T20I series against Pakistan, with his recovery being monitored ahead of the ODI leg beginning on 8 August.

Shimron Hetmyer and Brandon King have also been ruled out after sustaining side strains during the final T20I against Australia, with King’s fitness to be reassessed ahead of the ODIs.

In their place, Keacy Carty, Alick Athanaze, Shamar Joseph and Johnson Charles have been added to the squad for the T20I series.

Losing to this Windies side is not acceptable

Pakistan has dominated west Indies like they have dominated no other team
Pak vs westindies t20is
Matches played-21
Pak won-15
West Indies won-3
No result -3
Pakistan should not lose against West Indies.

after recent horrible performences from Pakistan everything is acceptable now lol
No chance

On paper Pakistan is much stronger

I won’t accept a defeat here.

The time for gelling together and giving leeway is over.

That being said, RizBar are still never ever needed.

Looks like an alright surface

Pakistan played here against Ireland in the T20wc. It was extremely wet conditions back then. If the weather has been good in Florida of late then it’s going to be a batting paradise I recon

Florida is historically batting-friendly.

West Indies and India once played a T20 here. Both sides scored 240+ if I remember correctly.

WI won the toss and will bowl first

Pitch and Conditions: "The boundary sizes - 78 meters down the ground, 66 and 63 on the square. There is a bit of grass, but it is rolled in and the surface looks very hard. Bat will dominate ball. The average first innings 167. I expect the bowlers to be under the pump," reckons Daren Ganga.

2 am here in Norway. What a timing. Now I know how all the US fans have been feeling for all these years lol.

Why the USA anthem was played, though?

Suggested in the previous thread that they should have Fakhar batting at 4 and they have now pushed him down from the opening spot. Likely will bat at 3 instead of 4 but either way, I prefer that instead of opening where he can get bogged down early on with the swinging ball.

Team they should play every match except maybe bowler for m nawaz. Fakhar one down is better as haris is not good against moving ball

Can this team for god sake please take some training in hitting full tosses. Holy they are consistently so pathetic at it.
