Looks like Pakistan will be late again to get their overs in

13 overs in 65 minutes

What a disgrace that the team management caved in to babar and Rizwan’s zid to play. Why drop Saim and Abrar.

That is because PCB is very weak in managing players. Board needs to hold their power just like BCCI. Do you think sachin, kohli and rohit are better players than any pakistani legend? But how they were controlled by their boards. Here if someone become little big player, he thinks he is above any law. Its a thinking of a nation i guess.
Absolutely. PCB needs to deal with player power with an iron hand, just like any strong private organisation would. Look at India, their players rarely indulge in unnecessary media talk and they’re very clear and disciplined in their communication.

But in Pakistan, even players like Hafeez, Shoaib Malik, Ahmed Shehzad speaks as if they’re all-time greats. And the same attitude is now seen in the 4–5 current players I mentioned earlier, they behave like established legends without having the performances to justify it.

PCB really needs to reset this culture.

This is why I barely follow Pak cricket anymore. Any time I start to, these idiots lose my (and many others) interest.

It’s 2025 and we’re still seeing dosti yariyaan sifarishi selections like it’s 2005-2015

Wow Rizwan plays as specialist batsman that too at No. 4 , seems SSA trust him the utmost
Bechara SSA feels indebted to Babar and Rizwan sadly… when he first got captaincy would always talk about how he’d do this and that for those two without a second thought.

Needs to get out of this submissive mentality and treat them as equals. Not even equals, they are technically subordinates.

This seniority bs needs to end in Pak.

Ain't SSA also a senior player with strong support or in PCB terms lobby

These three babar shaheen and rizwan have got same immunity as of field marshal jind jaan

Yeah but he seems to think he owes Rizwan and Babar something lol

He needs to man up and tell them to sit their ass out because he’s calling the shots

So we have two left arm slow bowlers (Faisal & Sufiyan) and both have their Pros n Cons ....

Do we afford play both in same XI 🤔🤔🤔

I think Shaheen and Babar’s relationship is broken considering how Babar backstabbed him for the T20 captaincy saga.

Shaheen is in awe of Rizwan though. He even once said something like “Rizwan is a confirmed jannati”. You will also notice his father in law always campaigning for Rizwan (pre Shaheen captaincy) to be the skipper or promote him as much as he can. They are clearly impressed with him for some reason. I can speculate but it’s pointless.

After listening to Dinesh Kartik and Shaun Pollock commentating for few hours;

listening to Waqar Younis feels like doing a 3rd grade school-homework - an unbearable suffering...

Pollock for sure but Dinesh Kartik goes on and on / goes into unnecessary details.

Bores you to death with irrelevant stats

Difference between a physics book written by a gora vz one written by an Indian or Pakistani!

Ya true rana sahab sufiyan needs to have a look at faisal how he is landing the ball in right areas can be really effective if sufiyan sort that out
Tbh it’s very hard to say who’s bowling style is more correct when it comes to spinners.

I get the impression that Sufyan has learned playing his cricket in tape ball primarily as a pace bowler who remodelled his style to become a left arm spinner. He has the mentality of batsman are constantly going after him and thinks his weapon is to bowl flat. The ingredients to be a successful white ball spinner are there, but the inability to adapt the pace in accordance to the requirements of the track and the nature of the batsmen he bowls to is lacking.

Faisal at the moment is just enjoying his opportunities and going in to bowl without any pressure. He just goes in and bowls at one length and varies his pace a bit. There will be a time when batters have seen enough of him and will start to line him up, that’s when his real test will come and how he adapts.

Another soft dismissal. Sri Lankan batsmen continuing the series trend. Losing wickets at the wrong time

Faisal shud be playin tests all day long
The two A’s should be tried in tests as well esp. home tests. A right-arm leg spinner and a left-arm wrist spinner (Chinaman) is an ideal combination.

Time to relieve one of the two ‘uncles’.

Sajid is 30 years old

He can easily serve for another 6-7 years

Haseebullah should have played all 6 games

You could have easily kept on rotating between Fakhar, Babar and Rizwan for him.

Talat should have played and batted at 4-5 in all 6 games too.

Hassan Nawaz all 6 games, dropped after one and removed from the squad indefinitely

Complete failure of a vital opportunity to develop players!

Instead of talking about youth development, we have guys like @gazza619 getting excited at Babar apparently improving his fielding.

This is the issue you all have as a nation. Your priorities are wrong. And then you will all sit down and cry when it’s all too late.

Pakistan’s issue is that they just cannot man up and invest properly in the development of it’s youth.

6 home games, add the 3 T20is too out of which 60% were against players who are highly unlikely to feature against you when an ICC tournament arises.

For what reason the management felt that it should stop its process of trusting, giving confidence and exposure to its young players is absolutely bizarre!

Then an ICC tournament will come in which these TTF seniors will sell you down the river and look clueless…and you will all be crying as to how “Pakistan needs 10-15 years” to rebuild as there is no talent blah blah blah!

Then you will throw all the youngsters into the starting XI and hope for immediate results in some tough away series in New Zealand, Australia or England and completely torch the young guys who are being exposed to an atmosphere and pressure that requires time to adapt towards! They will be made to feel useless (when actually they are not) and you will resort back to your TTFs for another sustained period into a major tournament.

A cruel, vicious cycle!

Theekhsana OUT. Insult to injury as he walks limping. Shaheen Shah Afridi getting that brutal Yorker straight out of Waqar Younis’ holy grail of Yorkers.
