What's new

Pakistan [319/6] beat Oman [172] by 147 runs in the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2019

Just wondering if it’s the same fayyaz butt, bowling for Oman, who played for Pakistan in 2010 under19 World Cup.

Looks like our journey will end in semi. We will face India. Since our players have mental issue with Indian team in tournaments its highly unlikely we can win that match.

Haider is turning into next Shehzad. Tuk tuk
Our batsmen don't have ability to play faster without slogging.Need good batting coaches in all the domestic teams

It seems even the new generation has dot ball issues. The coaches need to start working on these issues as soon as possible.

Exactly!!! Even 3rd grade India Emerging team know how to deal with dot balls.

What a selfish batting by Haider!!!! 51 dot balls. So far 111 dot balls altogether

Local coaches are not really too serious about dot balls. As long as team wins or loose by respectable margin they are happy with that. All of our local coaches don't see that far and not a good planner.

We don't want another Shehzad making with so many dot balls.

Looking at the run rate and strike rates in other games, it is very clear that the pitches are extremely slow and are difficult to score off. You can't judge the match just by looking at the scorecard.

Looks like they are waiting for the last over to starting hitting, even with 8 wickets in hand.

Khushdil Shah 54 of 24. Hopefully Misbah will not ump him after 1 bad performance against Australia in Australia.

If Sameen Gul is still in good form I have a feeling he will blow away Oman’s top order, in sha Allah.

Oman have beaten SL in this tournament so they have some talent in the team.

SL is one of the weakest team in this tournament. They will loose to Afghanistan by big margin.

Oman have done well to recover from 15/4. They need 178 in 11 overs though so they're still obviously going to lose by a massive margin, but the moral victory has been secured :shakib

Afghanistan have already defeated them.

Even if SL has a weak team credit should be given to Oman for defeating them.
