Hafeez gives Rameez a run for his money and you've put him in Pakistan's Greatest ODI XI....

You have an annoying, condescending attitude towards the opinions of other people. Yet, don't ever seem to put yours up for scrutiny. Poor form.

Zaheer Abbas would work as an opener, being a regular #3 in both tests and ODIs. Yousuf, on the other hand, would not be willing to open and was a true middle-order batsman.

Hafeez gives Rameez a run for his money and you've put him in Pakistan's Greatest ODI XI....

It is comical to put either in there, but Rambo was not a choker like Hafeez. He played a starring role in the 92 triumph.

yes may be the reason we have not seen them live but stats suggests that majid khan and zaheer approach towards odi were even better than our best we have now....they were great odi players and so was ABDUL QADIR>>someone is mentioning aamir over majid..i completely agree with your team except abdul razzak..for me shoaib akhtar comes there??? if you have wasim at 8 no need to include him...

Misbah was weak against pace

not true.

There is something called facing the new ball and an older ball.

Misbah was never an upper order batsmen. At the lower middle order he faced pace and all easily.

Im surprise how people could easily down play the second highest batting avg that easily

and some how miandad's sr is better

Misbah's average is heavily inflated by his performances against West Indies and Srilanka. His record is nothing spectacular barring those teams who have some of the weakest bowling attacks of his era.

Miandad has a healthy average against most teams in the world. The only team he has had less success was West Indies and Australia. Miandad was a match winner, comparing him to Misbah who hardly played any match winning innings in ODIs is unfair.

Did they play in the same era?

6 of Miandad's 8 ODI centuries were scored at 100+ SR and that includes the fastest one that came at 150+ SR against India in 1982.

Misbah did not even score a century in his entire ODI career. It is insulting to compare a limited batsman like Misbah to a legend like Miandad.

Ironically there was a period of time when a lot of those cricketers in your list were part of a Pakistani playing eleven at the same time

Miandad is a very underrated ODI batsman on PP. People talk about his Test exploits, but many don't realize that he was also a top class ODI batsman.

1. Saeed Anwar (I don't think I need to say anything)
2. Zaheer Abbas (Make him opener as we don't really have many great openers and would want to gamble with Afridi)
3. Javed Miandad (One of Pakistan's greats do I have to say anything more)
4. Sarfraz Ahmed (WK) (I know we have many WK's better than Sarfraz but the guy can bat at number 4 and do it real well so therefore to make the batting stronger Sarfraz should play)
5. Inzamam Ul-Haq (Great batsman wasn't as good as captain but a great player)
6. Misbah Ul-Haq (Okay so not my first choice either but I was struggling to find someone for the number 6 slot and when Misbah goes off he can strike the bowl far)
7. Imran Khan (C) (Open Bowling along with Wasim)
8. Abdul Razzaq (Adds depth to batting and was an amazing bowler in his prime)
9. Wasim Akram (Open Bowling)
10. Saqlain Mushtaq (Probably Pakistan's best ODI spinner ever)
11. Waqar Younis (Bring him on first change and also bowl at death)

This team has some great batting depth with a genuine all-rounder in his prime at 8 and has got some great bowlers as well. The team would do well in restricting teams and if needed could chase down totals as well. I couldn't ask for a better Team Pakistan than this.
