Shehzad is very underrated to be honest.

He has proved that he is one of our best openers. I was under the wrong impression that we have plenty of options who can easily replace him. Fact is that he continues to dominate in domestic cricket and is also the top scorer in the PSL. If there are better options than him than they should step forward.

He is young, fit, eager to do well (even if it is for personal reasons) and looks like a batsman when he plays well. He has the shots but needs a pat on his back and some inspirational words. He has an insecure personality and needs backing from the management and the fans which he hasn't had. People hate him far too much and he is obviously not oblivious to it, although he does try to pretend that it doesn't bother him.

Not selecting a full time spinner might be crucial and Shehzad is selected in the wrong format.

Pak could have easily moved Hafeez to open with Zaman and included Haris Sohail in the middle order.

How come that nobody is talking about non selection of Fahim Ashraf? What role is imad going to play in this line up. We have Shadab who could turn the ball away from right handed batsmen and Hafeez and Malik who could turn ball away from lefties. Imad can't hit the ball while batting even if his life is dependent on it. Then what is his job in this line up. Fahim Ashraf should have been played instead of him.
