You are right... 425 is enough for us...Pakistan are trailing by 390 runs.
Even if there is no rain, this match is probably going to be a draw. England declared too late.
Wouldn't have Rizwan as a captain but he should be involved in the leadership group going forward. He is a very smart cricketer and has leadership experience.
i have been watching cricket longer than you and top team would not been able ro.win after conceeding 600 runs and losing 4 wicketsfor nothing. No top team would bother about rain in this situation.
The issue is that Pakistani fans don’t know ABC about top teams. This generation of fans will never understand what it is like to be a top team and what their thought process is.
He should played as a batsmen in middle order...
But you never know about pakistani batting lineup![]()
All agenda aside, Azhar Ali deserves a 100 for his batting today.
Afridi-esque six by Rizwan.
It's a relief that Sarfraz isn't in the side otherwise he would have told everyone about his ability to exhibit his "pathano walay" shots.
Yeah. He did well in this game (minus the captaincy).
There is a difference between batting out a draw and praying for rain.
If Pakistan can hold onto 15 wickets over the next 7 sessions, they will deserve all the credit and praise in the world. However, we have people here who are praying for rain and making calculations of how Pakistan can escape with a draw in that situation.
Unfortunately, I am sure that the team management are thinking along the same lines as well.
For proper teams with a winning attitude, the possibility of rain would not be a factor in this situation. You either bat out a draw or you lose.

i'd like to congratulate Azhar Ali on a very fine innings.
I don't think it's enough - it's his first 50 in his last 4 series outside Asia. And I don't think he has any leadership skills.
But he's a very nice man and fair play to him, it's been an extremely good innings. Well done!
i just hope azhars century celebrations are somewhat muted in light of the match situation
Rizwan has been the stand-out performer for Pakistan in this series. Has been fantastic with the gloves too
How many runs need to save from follow on?

Are you watching Junaids?![]()
Me too. Sadly, they weren't. The whole team is pathetic in this regard and shows minnow mentality. They were cheering as if it was a 300, considering the match situation.
Remember when we were told no one is better than Sarfraz in the country.
Mickey and Inzi have blood on their hands for delaying Rizwans career by a couple of years.
Yes, I just congratulated him. He's batted very well.
But it's his first away 50 in 16 innings in 9 Tests over 4 series and 3 years. And that's not good enough to stay in the team.
Great knock from Azhar with all the pressure he was under, a strong guy mentally with his batting especially.
Junaids a stat / puzzle for you, two Pakistani batsman on this tour have scored hundreds; and both were 30 or above!

Wasim throwing in random information like he has great understanding of whats going on in Pak cricket. Yes we dont have many offies but Bilal isnt the only one, Sajid Khan is also there who did really well in last season and is a decent batsman as well lower down the order.
Couple of hours ago he said that these are the best players we have like it was a fact. Determining how good the players are is pretty subjective and shouldnt be saying it as a fact.
Other than when Wasim talks about Pak's domestic cricket I dont have as much issues.

He's just said that again, saying how the current squad is the cream of PAK. Naaah.
Azhar should be getting 150 plus.
Precisely. I've been critical of Misbah but when it comes to his predecessors, their blunders should not be forgotten either. Mickey and Inzi deserve to be criticised for not letting Sarfraz go.
I don't missing his yawning, racism and that pot belly he has. Rizwan is such a refreshing change. Sarfraz needs to retire.
Think that's the only way to salvage this innings. A 100 alone won't do it to make up for his recent failures. Needs to really go big here. Rizwan needs to be thinking 3 figures too.
Well done Azhar Ali for a good innings but the bottom line is this ^
Rizwan performances in this series have been the most positive thing about this series.
Would be nice for Rizwan to get a 100.
True.
Rizwan seems like he loves to stay under the radar. Sarfaraz was a bit of a show off.
Pathetic from England, it's almost like watching bowling machines; no fresh ideas and lack of vision, almost hoping for a wicket / waiting until Jimmy is ready for another spell
Most Test Hundred points symbol for Pakistan in (Aus+SA+ENG+NZ+WI)
9 - Javed Miandad
8 - Asif Iqbal
8 - Inzamam ul Haq
7 - Mohammad Yousuf
6 - Younis Khan
5* - AZHAR ALI
5 - Ijaz Ahmed / Mushtaq Mohammad/ Majid Khan
There's absolutely nothing in the pitch. Pakistan didn't concede 600 for no reason. That's why I'm so mad that Babar got out yesterday. He could've made his career-best here.
