IMO, if you swap Haider Ali with Fakhar, and swap Rizwan into the middle with Fakhar opening, this team is actually not too bad. Nawaz should also go before Asif and Shadab.

Asif needs to be brought in regardless into the 12th/13th over of any innings. That’s how Tim David and Livingstone are successful, you will notice that’s when they usually come at the crease for any team. They can take an over or so to get a feel of the wicket and then they will not spare any delivery in their range

Rizwan and Babar coming in at 3 and 4 will kill all momentum.

Imagine being 30/2 in 3 overs and finishing with 110/2 in 15 overs.

Pakistan has the players to put on a strong showing in the WC, winning it might be a stretch though.

However, it's not the ability that's the issue. It's the mindset. Saqlain saying that we are confident in our methods is worrisome. When you don't even identify your shortcomings as shortcomings, that's a big red flag!

If the same set of players, maybe with a couple of changes, is just given the right approach to play T20s, we'd be in for a good tournament. However, with our current mindset, it's likely going tk be a disappointing outing in Aus.

I will play Haider over Fakhar in the middle order and I will only play one of Fakhar or Sharjeel at the opening slot

Qasim akram is average. Haider and Abdullah shafique are far better then him.

The 5th batting position I will play fakhar but I will not drop Haider to accommodate Fakhar also I don't want fakhar opening with Sharjeel as that means the middle order will be to slow with Babar and Rizwan.
