Pakistan should win again.

It is nostalgic to see these retired players playing again. I love this tournament.

Sharjeel Khan gave Pakistan Champions a flying start, smashing 21 off 14 balls with 2 fours and a six

He was dismissed in the 7th over when Dwayne Smith caught him off Pollard's bowling

At the time of his dismissal, the team score was 65

Kamran Akmal rolled back the years with a scintillating century as Pakistan Champions outclassed West Indies Champions by 49 runs in their World Championship of Legends (WCL) 2025 clash at Headingley on Saturday

Batting first, Pakistan Champions piled up a formidable 200-4, thanks to a breathtaking 113 off just 62 balls by Kamran Akmal.

The veteran wicketkeeper-batter smashed 13 fours and five sixes to anchor the innings after an explosive 65-run opening stand with Sharjeel Khan, who chipped in with a 14-ball 21.

Sohaib Maqsood (17) and skipper Mohammad Hafeez (23 off 18) played supporting roles as Pakistan Champions crossed the 200-run mark.

Asif Ali stayed unbeaten on 10 off 10 in the final overs.

West Indies Champions struggled to keep up with the asking rate in the chase, managing only 151-7 in their 20 overs.

Chadwick Walton top-scored with a 30-ball 42, while William Perkins and Dwayne Bravo added 30 each.

Ashley Nurse contributed a 25-run cameo, but it was never going to be enough for the West Indies Champions.

Rumman Raees ripped through the top order with a sensational opening spell, grabbing 3-4 in three overs. Aamer Yamin and Sohail Tanvir bagged two wickets apiece to stifle the Windies’ hopes.

The comprehensive win puts Pakistan Champions on top of the WCL 2025 points table with seven points from four matches. West Indies Champions, meanwhile, remain on two points after as many games.

I know this tournament is a joke and probably just some rich people play acting their old fantasies but even then sharing the points when Ind refused to play Pak is just diabolical & honestly criminal.

Let's just run this scenario based on the table

1. Eng vs. Indi: England win. They move to three points & end their group phase with a NRR of say -1.39
2. Both WI and Ind have a chance to overtake them. WI just need to win as then they'll end up on 4, but Ind need to win with a good margin to make the NRR work for them.
3. Gayle, however, wakes up on the morning after reading a post from some X user in Ind that has some negative comments about him.
4. He refuses to take the field in anger so the match is canceled.
5. Both teams according to the past precedence get 1 point.
6. Both teams are out of the tournament without even having a fair chance to qualify.

Sports should be fair. I get it that you don't want to play a certain team but that should always count as a forfeit no matter what. People themselves devalue things or carry out unfair actions & when it's time to face the consequences, they bring out the surprise Pikachu face. Getting a point for refusing to play a team just devalues the entire sport.

Lastly, if I was the captain of Pak, & because Pak is guaranteed to finish above Ind in the table, I'd just boycott the match if there's a faceoff in the knockout stage of the tournament. H2H won't apply as the previous match was a no-result, & because Pak finished higher in the league phase, they would get a bye and win the knockout game.

Clowns run the world frankly i.e. the greedy ones who aren't even funny just deranged.

Wait. I came up with an even better scenario instantly after posting this.

1. Eng vs. Ind: Ind win so they are at 3 points. England is eliminated with 1. WI are at 2.
2. WI vs Ind: WI need to win to overtake Ind. Ind refuse to play the match. Both teams share a point. Ind 5. WI 3. WI are eliminated.

Super fair imho.

No it's not fair.

The Indian market brings most of the money to cricket, in the event of a forfeit they should get both points, as without them the tournament would likely lose money.
