So Pakistan is officially out now. The match against Ireland will be a dead rubber.

So thank you Mohsin Naqvi for bringing in guys like amir, imad, usman, azam and shadab who failed miserably at this world t20. Babar also deserves this humiliation for accepting the captaincy after seeing how Shaheen was treated.

Anyways, the great news from all this is, Babar will finally give a debut to Abrar Ahmed in an ICC tournament, and maybe Abbas Afridi will also get a game.

Anyways congrats to USA. What an achievement and how must their players be feeling?

They must have been dreaming of the day they could secure victory for their country. A childhood dream from when they were young lads growing up in New Delhi, Lahore or Kingston.
 
PSL will need to get a reality check. Is it really producing players who can stand the heat of top international cricket ?

Azam Khan was sort of a litmus test. He was seen as someone who broke conventions and his performances in PSL were considered to be gold standard. But one over from Mark Wood disintegrated him completely.

For all the faults that IPL has, it creates players who are mentally strong and Intermational cricket ready youngsters.

We also got smashed during a test home series v England. That was just as painful
 
‘Crash out’ in the title are strong words, suggesting prior purpose even if misguided, and some executional effort even if misdirected.

Rather, Pakistan came in shambling and left stumbling.

Well one can’t say they didn’t have it coming.
 
A fitting result and much deserved.
Nothing will come of this.
Babar will probably lose captaincy. A few scapegoats will be blamed like Kirsten.

Whoever gets dropped will be back in 18 months and we will see the same recycled garbage. Buckle up and enjoy the ride of being a minnow

If Naqvi has some shame he should apologize for bringing back Babar as captain and unfairly remove shaheen. He should announce these dosti yaari players no longer be picked in T20 . T20 should be from now on kept for younger and upcoming cricketers . Babar and Riz type of players should focus on longer formats now .
Shadab Ifti babar Rizwan no longer be picked in T20
Imad and Amir anyways won’t play anymore as this was their last hurray !

There is no point in blaming Misbah. He has left long ago and there has been too many changes since then.
There is no player with the skill to match the modern game. And this has been for years.
 
"High quality" bowling attack couldn't defend 159 even against USA. Awful. The batting is anyway hopeless with the likes of Rizwan and Iftikhar. But one would have thought that the bowlers would, for once, live up to the hype.

I don't feel too bad.

Everything was wrong about this team including the balance, Azam Khan, poor captaincy, and lack of seriousness. They need to remove at least 5-6 players, rework the squad, and change captains.

Put Babar in the middle order or drop him.
 
Beautiful. Babar deserves this humiliation. He is too power hungry which is why he accepted the captaincy. Us fans don’t deserve this but the fake king does deserve this humiliation.

2023 World Cup had a format which allowed you to start slow and still they were just on par with Afghanistan. It's a full blown talent crisis. Rinsing and Recycling and shuffling might help make some marginal gains but overall trend ain't gonna change unless they find some world class talents.

We dropped the two players who actually did perform in the last T20 World Cup (Haris and Shaan) for Overweight Toddler Azam Khan and Out-of-his-depth Hack Usman Khan

It all started from him removed a successful T20 captain Sarfraz . Bought his SNGPL buddy Rizwan as opener cause he knew Rizwan can’t play in middle order . Sacrificed Fakhar for him . Had issues with Amir . He is same guy who blocked Sarfraz Ahmed for years and preferred Adnan Akmal . Backed Ifti hyped him to core . Not to forget selected all his Faisalabad wolves players when he was captain only to be exposed . Now he will behave as a messiah of Pakistan cricket on TV but that is reality .
 
We deserve this humiliation.

One of the darkest days in our cricketing history.

In the last two decades only Misbah’s era had some ray of hope for us and we could hold our head high.

Apart from that, it has been total humiliation and continuous losses.
 
For the first time, as a Pakistan fan, I feel nothing with Pakistan crashing out...Mental Midget and his Fraandship 11 deserve this humiliation... unfortunately, this isn't going to change anything...
 
state of our cricket is not divorced from state of our country as whole. nothing surprising. everything going down the drain from our social fabric to only sports we like to play
 
Cruel end to Pakistan's campaign but they only have themselves to blame. Many bad selections.

Should've beaten both USA and India.
 
Ind vs Pak was a cutthroat competition between two teams to prove which one is worse. But one team had to win anyway.

In an ideal table result, Pak and Ind both should've 4 points and washouts in FL would've resulted in 5 points each and qualification to super 8.
So it was the Pak vs USA which ended Pak's tournament campaign.

Babar lost the match by scoring 44 of 43 against USA and rizwan for scoring 32 off 42 against India.

Both should be kicked out of the team along with chacha,Usman khan,azam and shadab and even Shaheen was useless.
It's about time to retire these guys from t20is.

Indeed.

Against USA, they had to defend something like 11 from 3.

Against India, they needed 47 from 47.

Both should've been won.
 
While I do think Misbah as the white ball coach started this rot, I believe the orders to remove Sarfaraz and Mickey came up from much higher.

The problem started with Sarfaraz opting to bowl first against India in WC 2019 against the very public opinion of then PM Imran Khan. Pakistan went on to lose the match and subsequently miss out on the semis despite having a pretty good tournament with the abandoned match against SL proving crucial.

The then board had a cricket committee which had Misbah in there in charge of reviewing the performance. Mickey was given assurances that renewal of his contract was a mere formality. Then, something changed. Mickey was unceremoniously dumped and Misbah ended up applying for and taking up the position of head coach and chief selector.

If this was the intended playbook, it didn't make sense for Misbah to be on the cricket committee that had just been put together. What makes more sense is that the order to fire Sarfaraz and Mickey came directly from the PM office and Misbah just ended up doing the dirty work.
 
Looking at brighter side....Afg will not have the pleasure of celebrating a victory over Pakistan in T20 Worldcup
 
It’s obvious the lead up to this WC was bad and this result isn’t that surprising. Pakistan needs to find proper middle order batsmen and Lowe order hitters! Babar should be playing at number 3 and we need to find an aggressive opener. Unfortunately there is no body who can’t be a good opener!

So basically two retired players were called back.
One player who refuses to retire was kept in the team.
Thats was disaster in making.
Then whoever was little bit cricket ready was sent to Kakul to train and broken
 
When you bring a player like Azam Khan, you look like a troll team to the opposition. Who cares how many runs he got, he has no commitment to his cricket which reflects badly in pak team. Anyways congratulations to USA

Babar’s record as a captain in the PSL is well known. Only a fool would have thought he will become a better captain in international cricket.
 
Everyone that gat gets dropped from this team, should lose all privileges they gained thru having gained their initial Green Cap. Ie: NOC, t20 leagues is no

Send them back to play Pakistan Domestic Circuit, PSL, UK County but not t20. and earn way back into the national side. (clause in contract) make sure any verbal attacks on social media or TV YouTube etc. will violate return to national duty!

To be honest I'm not holding my breath on any real changes.
Although Babar might resign again Amir Imad might retire looooool
 
Is it true that Pakistan will now have to qualify to play the T-20 2026 WC in India? India will be happy because they will not have to worry about Pakistan coming to India
 
By the grace of Almighty we deserved this humiliation hopefully logistics cost is saved and players will return back ASAP
 
Ok 11 imads batted and 5 amir's bowled 4 overs each. They also fielded every position on ground and dropped multiple catches these 2 are the reason we are out of the world cup

Before these 2 got in the team we won every single series since 2021

We beat Afghanistan black and blue in WC23

We beat India black and blue too

We won the worldcup 23

we were the winners of the asia cup 2023

We won the wc22 and didnt had to rely on others teams to beat others teams to qualify

We beat zimbabwe and india in WC22

We were the Asian champions

These 2 have come back in the team and we have lost the world cup oh no 😥

Nah this wasn't luck.

Players played so badly.

Amir superover and Imad and Rizwans batting v India for example. But there are so many more examples. Shaheen bowled awful, chacha was missing in action, Fakhar out cheaply, Babar useless.

When there are so many failings it's not luck

SUper 8 qualified teams, hosts and top 2 ranked teams automatically qualify, the rest have to play qualifiers. I think this is what I read recently somewhere.
 
Hopefully the officials will compile more series with AFG ZiM IRE and even OMAN Scotland to take us back to lumber1 rankings again
