Just checked the scorecard. Our youngasta beauties aren't doing too bad...I was expecting England to be something like 300/5

Mohammad Talha bowling with some :AAG it seems, where are the indians :akhtar

Expecting 2 wickets quick after Tea. We got 2 wickets early in Morning and 2 wickets after the lunch,so hoping for the same pattern.

Game evenly balanced. England will be looking to have one more solid session of batting and then will probably aim for their bowlers having a go tomorrow morning.

No surprises here,

Bell = overrated
Trott = gets the odd duck
Strauss and Pietersen = hit and miss
Cook and Prior = always score the important runs

Do you reckon Bell KP and Morgan got out to Yasir Shah cause they thought Lionel Messi was bowling at them? :))

100 For cook, well batted! A much improved played in last 12 months. Looked like a school boy batsmen against Asif and Aamer though!

like ive said before, cook is the key! get him early and we can really up the ante!

still think england will win this as the batting is very inexperienced but thats ok!

MJ Prior c †Sarfraz Ahmed b Mohammad Talha 46 (57b 7x4 0x6) SR: 80.70

Come on England, time to declare and bowl. All the batters have got their chance. Cook has already hit a ton and Swann is a bowler so please be brave and declare already.

They don't want to lose a warm up. They'll make sure of 300 before they declare.

Of course they don't want to lose. Flower hates to lose. But that was more of a wish :)

May as well declare when the next wicket goes down, let the bowlers have a go.

i think pakistan missed a trick by not giving zulfiqar babar a go

after kaneria he was the second highest wicketaker in qea as a spinner

has yrs of domestic experience

Swann gone.

76.1 Yasir Shah to Swann, OUT, trying to late cut, feather edge into the keepers gloves, good brisk knock comes to an end.

GP Swann c †Sarfraz Ahmed b Yasir Shah 24 (29b 2x4 1x6) SR: 82.75

leo messi really turning it on, would love to see him bag a 5for here. would do his cause no harm at all.

He's never going to make the team though surely? You have spinners coming out of your ears.

not now, but its great to keep some heat on the first choice spinners, and to see the back up bowlers doing well is nice, and that to a leggie.

should get a call up for a few t20s though imo, fields like jonty rhodes.

Yeah I've heard he's a gun in the field, and it's always nice to see a leggie doing well, not enough of them in the international game.

Right come on England, had enough now, just declare.

5-fer for Yasir Shah
78.6 Yasir Shah to Onions, OUT, trying to go over the top of the mid on fielder, good one hand grab by Talha.

G Onions c Mohammad Talha b Yasir Shah 1 (6b 0x4 0x6) SR: 16.66

has 5fer well done

yasir shah i believe is junaid khans cousin

Yes, he's Junaid Khan's cousin.

So canny captain Moore has recruited Yasir Shah, a Pakistani-born leg-spinner who has recently completed a tour of England with his country's development squad.

"The initial contact came through Shelley's Bilal Khalid who mentioned Yasir to Max Joice, and then I got a call about him from Mohammed Shahnawaz at Scholes," said Moore.

"Shah is related to Khalid and is also a cousin of Junaid Khan, who is now at Lancashire.

England obviously looking to win this rather than just practice otherwise they wouldn't be relying on the likes of Panesar and Onions who are clearly tailenders.

So Cook has been dropped twice, this innings would have been over many many overs ago

Yes, and twice off Talha... but now

81.1 Mohammad Talha to Cook, OUT, trying to cut that away, edging it to the wicket keeper.

:asif

England declares. 269/9d.

so pak XI get to bat 6 overs?

really looking forward to seeing how nasir jamshed does.

^finally they declare. Now let's watch my fellow kashmiri bro Afaq. Important not to lose any wicket before stumps today.

England batting form continues :p another delcared innings :p
might as well declare if Cook gets out, panesar-tremlett partnership isn't exactly the greatest batting pair in the world. Wouldn't have added much and would have wasted quite a bit of time if they had.

The pace-man Talha and spinning Shah, the two who shared the 9 wickets between them (Hasan was disappointing, as Khalil)... look at Yasir Shah's average for a spinner!

Cook scoring 50% of the runs for England. It's all one-man show so far.

England | 9/269 declare | 81.1 Overs | RR 3.31

Cook 133, Prior 46 | Yasir 5/75, Talha 4/33

Great performance from the boys in green. Was expecting more from raza hasan but I guess he's still very young and has a lot to learn.

Now to see these much awaited batting prospects.

very impres by shah and talha great spell byt these they share all the wickets together

prior and cook rescued england with that partnership

many times prior comes to the rescue of england very unselfish batsmen , hardly gets any plaudits.

0.2
Onions to Afaq Raheem, no run, loud loud appeal for lbw from the England team, bowler cant believe it.

Pakistan will have to find a way of getting cook out early in test series as hes in the form of his life at moment!

Openers need to be just solid here and then our batsmen need to make most of their chances tomorrow and look to bat all day and give england no wickets.

We supposedly dropped 5 catches but still our Youngsta Beauties got 9 wickets for 269. Not bad, not bad at all.

Mohammad Talha & Yasir Shah have bright futures.

Now let's see which of our batsman can make an impression...

5 drops is 5 to many! Lets hope we dont have such cases during the Test series!

PCB XI | 0/12 | 5 Overs | RR 2.40 | Trail by 257 runs

1 Over to go now!

these batsman have more potential and courage then are international players just love this nasir jamshed guy from the time when he hammered irfan pathan in asia cup 2008 i hope he makes a comeback
