Yes, feeling pessimistic.Only excitement was Babar century.The man is playing three left arm pace attack with imad darting with left hand.
 
Sarah May cost us this gave. SL can win this match if they play sensibly to Amir and Imad. Others can give away 10+ runs/over
 
We'll still win (I think) but good comeback from SL.
 
Don’t expect better from Waqar who is nothing but a failure as a coach

Just end his nightmare and make Babar the captain. He can learn on the job. Most of the top teams have one of their best players as captain. It’s the way to go. Sarfaraz is rubbish tactically anyway so we won’t miss much there.

Pakistan have lacked the killer instinct for way too long. So many times we’ve let teams off the hook. Mickey is right, these guys are too nice.
 
This is so frustrating.
Sarfaraz is one of the dullest and unispiring captains of all time.Letting matches,where we are on top of the opposition,get out of our grip has now become a norm for Pakistan.

And let's not even start on the bowlers.The spinners are toothless and the pacers are wayward and inconsistent.
This should have ended a long time ago.

Specialist captain is the first one to go.

Trust me Babar can’t do any worse than this. In any case, at least with Babar you can afford to give him time as he is the best player in the team.
 
So couldn’t fill out the stadium and now we have a floodlight failure. :facepalm:

I am more worried about our coaching panel.Does not inspire any confidence. Sarfaraz will ultimately go wether 6 months or one year later but what about the other garbage??
 
Pakistan need to give rizwan some chances. Sarfraz is only in the team because he is the captain , rizwan has 2 hundreds in his last 5 odis. Time for change , keep sarfraz in t20s.
 
Lights are out, cricket well and truly back in Pakistan.

Misbah will be sacked if he isn’t good. With Misbah he has never coached so we have nothing to judge off. With Sarfaraz we have over 2 years of rubbish performances and he is still in the job.
 
Shehan jayasuriya has 9 list A hundreds and shanaka has 2 odi 50s too. So these guys can actually bat.

Batting with so many wickets down and launching a counter attack is admirable though. Don't think our mental midgets can do that.
 
Amazing fight back from Lankans - from 32/5!!! But, it exposes PAK spinners’ ineptness in middle overs as well. Shadab is losing ground at an alarming rate.
 
Usual day at the office for Shadab - bowling pies and getting smashed. However, I hope that he has been able to dive around in the field like a dolphin and made himself look good in front of the cameras. Hopefully the hair and beard are on point too. Not watching so I hope someone can help me out.
 
If the match is called off from this point I would be tempted to give SL the win, they are the dominant side at the moment

Looks like the new found “professionalism” in PCB was not extended to ensuring that the lighting system is in order.

Pakistan is ahead by 24 runs in D/L. Less wickets in hands means 1 wicket and Sri Lanka collapse
 
Shadab Khan is a big zero. I love players who bash him to all corners of the ground. He needs to be put to his place. He is simply as good as Azhar Ali. Whether you take Azhar Ali as a leg spinner or Shadab, it won't make any difference. Pakistan is in a dire need of two specialist spinners, otherwise things aren't going to get any good. And please it's TIME UP for Sarfaraz. He is the definition of mediocrity. Shouldn't be even near this team.
 
Is the sound out of sync for anyone else watching on VM on sony max?

Totally agree with you. It is especially comical when he tries to bowl to Indian batsmen. The Asia Cup in 2018 showed how he is not even in the same ball park as some of the top Asian spinners.
 
These two are so calm and looking they can still bat for a while we had Babar who was mentally and physically done after passing his century to just go and hole out in the deep.

He was never that good with ball. I do not think he has potential to be , he should concentrate on his batting , to try and play as batting all rounder.
 
This would be some century from Jayasuriya if he gets it.
 
Zafar Gohar should be drafted in for the next odi and t20 squad, Especially coming off a great run of form

This one is not in his hand - why has done everything, literally everything that I dream in an ideal case. Even, as I noticed initial QeA schedule was Thursday-Sunday, so that people are encouraged to come to stadium in business end of the game on week-ends, this was one century long tradition in UK.

But, Sarfraz is a political call - against all odds, PTI won few seats in Karachi proper - IK won’t risk irritating Karachiites by sacking (not dropping - then he’ll come back in few months time) their poster boy. Won’t be surprised if Sarfraz leads at Gabba & Adelaide as well.

Talk about over reaction . The other team is here to play and not just here tolie down for Pakistan.
