For someone who has grown up and spent all his childhood in Pakistan, I could say that it is one of the worst places for youth. The exposure in Pakistan for young people is non-existent. If you are rich, you are not allowed to be independent or do jobs at a younger age, sports are highly discouraged etc and on the other hand for poor people, its a living hell which is the case in almost every other country.

It being highly one dimensional does not help either and cherry on top is religion, almost everyone is forced to follow the religion, not just by the people but by the state as well. For someone who grew up in Pakistan, I think that my whole childhood and youth have been wasted. Now I am 22 and graduated from university and heading towards professional life, I can only envy people growing up in the West or multicultural countries.

There are some self hating Pakistanis. Its a shame because they want to be westeners, want their wives to show flesh, want to even indulge in a bit of bacon tasting. If they spent their childhood trying to learn about philosphy, history , they will understand you dont become happy because of where you live but what insides you.

OP says almost everybody is forced to follow religion, this is just nonsense, most people in Pakistan dont even prayers the 5 daily prayers.

To OP dont envy others, sort your own life out. Seems like a poorly thought out rant about Pakistan. We've seen it on here many times before.

Praying 5 times a day is a different thing. Most of the Pakistanis probably pray twice or thrice a day which is like a couple more than what Muslims in other countries do. Even in Saudi and Turkey.

So Pak should open bar's, gambling joints and striptease clubs to please the youth. Depends on what you call liberation then we can take it from there. Was in Pak some month's back seeing youth in Islamabad enjoying themselves. Yes there rightfully are restrictions but to say "it is one of the worst places for youth" is nonsense. No one has ever forced me to follow any religion in Pak.

In my opinion, there is nothing much for the Pakistani youth. It is pertinent to mention that half of Pakistan’s population is below 30. It is such a big waste because most youngsters have no motivation to do well. They refuse to get educated and spend their whole days gelling their hair and hanging around on bikes. They survive on remittance sent by their family member of relative. Almost all of them are undereducated - they have barely completed primary six.

I am not sure if it is just me but Pakistani youth have zero general knowledge and knowledge in general. Last time when I went to Pakistan, I almost ripped off my hair whilst talking to them : they knew nothing about anything.

Furthermore, there is no real leisure activities to be done and leisure facilities. Some play football in wheat field and end up getting injured. The quality of life is horrible. No cinemas, parks and other recreational spots. The older generation spends the day by hanging out at barber shops and gossiping.

From my experience and interaction with Pakistani youth, they only have one goal in life : leave Pakistan in whatever way and settle abroad. It is a pathetic situation for youth in Pakistan. No education, jobs and safety.

Extra curricular activities in Pakistan are almost nil. People don’t want their children to play cricket unless they are from a poor background and other sports well you know about it. There are cinemas but Pakistani movies are of very low quality not just the content but also the cinematography which makes it a waste of time. There are recreational and theme parks too but they are very low quality. Imagine your on rollercoaster or even chairlift and there is powercut, your almost done

It's about money.

If there was enough going around and youth could spend it, they would be happy.

The same applies to India/Singapore and I am sure Hon Kong too - everyone wants to live in the West!

Over the last 3 years, it has become horrible. The youth put their faith in Imran and he destroyed them.

I wonder what happened to the “millions of jobs” that he promised to provide.

By West, I mean outside Pakistan. In my opinion, Pakistanis have the most desire in leaving the country.

No evidence that Paks have more or less desire than other peoples of the world.

Even you are living outside Pakistan so it's okay for you to fulfil your desires to live outside Pakistan but others should not have similar aspirations.

Why don't you come back to Pakistan forever if you are such a Patriot ?

That is just my opinion after living in Pakistan and interacting with people.

And my opinion after speaking to a lot of Indians living in the Middle East is same as yours, they would like to live in the West or prefer the life in the Middle East.

"Door kay dhol suhanay"

Fair enough.

I am not a patriot and I never claimed to be patriot.
