Batting was always brittle, if we want our batters to play like the top 4 sides it can take years, decades, its all in the grassroots.

Fakhar was always a limited batsman and Imam has a similar style to dot ball king shehzad.

People need to be realistic and not over patriotic, our openers did well against extremely weak sides, but it will take years to get batsmen with proper techniques and hunger for runs and that is only if we fix our domestic structure.

Better teams do not want to play us. Because we're not competitive enough. And have no marketing/flair value either.

So, what can we do?

We have to pick players for the best opposition. Not keeping Afghanistan and Zimbabwe in mind.
