But losing four wickets for no run before lunch on 1st day in abu dhabi??? The other spinner being Holland?? I think somthings seriusly wrong with this current setup. And obviously playing likes of babar who has got no first class runs behind him.

They have no FC experience. I understand that our FC structure isn’t exactly the best but FC cricket allows a player to learn more about their game and learn their strengths and weaknesses and become mentally stronger. I understand that the majority of players in this team are young/inexperienced but even the younger players in the Aussie team have 30 FC outings under their belt which is around a season and a half or two seasons, which is way better than our current bunch. In 30-35 matches they’ve been in a few different situations and know how they have to play in those situations to survive or thrive. Our players rely solely on their “talent” to get them out of these tricky situations which just won’t happen. The sooner this set up will understand that the better, otherwise we can expect to see our team crawl even lower in the Test rankings.
