It has more to do with our decline in ODIs. We lost to India, South Africa and Sri Lanka in Pakistan from 2006 to 2009, and flopped in the 2008 Asia Cup as well.
We have been in terminal decline in ODIs since 2006, which was the last time we were ranked in the top two. The ODI series vs England in 2005 was our last dominant home ODI series win against quality opposition.
This current Pakistan team would not have a much better record in Pakistan. Teams like India, England, Australia and New Zealand will continue to beat us more often than not.
Worse - in UAE mud bed, Ajmal, MoHa & Afridi at least kept some sort of dignity. Now with this 135K gun barrel straight phast bowlers without any new ball skill and the "spin All-rounders", PAK'll face 70/1 situation after 10-12 overs almost every time bowling first, while 80/3 batting first - that's after 18-19 overs.
Don't see how playing home can be better, as the wickets are even worse for PAK team. And, batting belter would be nightmare - last time PAK toured BD, games were played in March-April on absolute belter on a lighting out field - our average scoring rate was close to 6.5......, PAK's 4.5.
Only, place where there might be some strength is WIN type of under prepared track, and then win toss to bat first - post something after somehow struggling for full 50 overs with 30s & 40s from 3-4 players and then darters, old ball & slowness of wickets might defend that total, more than 50% times.
I was really, really shocked yesterday to see the ineptness of PAK attack (& shallowness of captain). Mithun did a stupid thing, we ended 8 balls earlier and were missing Shakib's batting & 10 overs .... then idiot Liton dropped a sitter - otherwise from a start of 12/3 in 7 overs, PAK bowlers & Captain would have allowed us to reach 280+ & then collapse for 170.
