We will see how your poster boy Babar Azam will inspire the side to become world champion. I wish him all the best. What did Sarfaraz do in all those mathces we won. Nothing. In all the mathces Babar performed, or Fakhar or Imad or Shadab or Hafeez or Shaheen or Amir. I only remember one against NZ at Eden Park in his 3 year stint as captain. His leadership had very little to do with it. It was the players who performed. We saw what happenned when these guys failed against Sri Lanka, Sarfaraz had no answer. He looked helpless in the field. His expression showed he didn't know what to do.
time to learn? are you kidding me? world cup is around the corner. He wasn't picked to lead a PSL franchise and now been appointed Pakistan team captain. I hope it does not impact his batting because he is really the back bone of our ODI batting side at the moment.good young team, glad they gave the captaincy to babar, give him time to learn and im sure he will come good
The issue with Shinwari is the severe fluctuations in his performance levels. One day he is brilliant, the other he loses us a match single-handedly.I am no fan of spray gun Shinwari but his treatment has been absolutely appalling.
Surprisingly dropped before the WC for a teenager. The very next series he's brought back in then all of a sudden he is dropped again. Absolutely nothing in that process was justified at all.
Make your mind up on the guy Misbah. Either he's good enough or he isn't.
I have a feeling there is going to be significant insecurity under Misbah's helm and the players are going to be forced to play selfishly for their spots every single game.
Usman Qadir’s selection boils my blood. I didn’t expect such blatant favoritism by Babar especially at this stage of his captaincy. Well I guess the Akmal genes are strong.
I hope he gets smashed for the rubbish bowler that he is and we never see him again in Pakistan colors.
He is not that bad bowler you are portraying him to be ,I actually saw him bowl in the big bash and he was troubling very good batsman like maxwell, stoinis, lynn and also other good batsman. He has improved his bowling after playing in australia.

If Babar is being trusted to lead the side than he should also be trusted to have few calls of his own in my opinion. Personally I think experience of working with someone and knowing he can provide and having a certain understanding with someone shouldn't be considered a bad thing as its common in almost every profession around the world. Few examples from cricket are Ashton Turner and Jason Behrendoff from Perth Scorchers selected for Aus and are part of the setup because Langer knew what they can provide. Brendon MCculam was wanted as captain by Mike Hessen because of their relation from Otago team.
Usman Qadir was decent in the national T20 tournament. Yes Zahid Mehmood's stats were better but as I said I think management should be allowed to make few judgement calls themselves.
Yes questions will be asked and you need to be answerable if the things dont go they were intended to.
He doesn’t deserve to play for Pakistan after the stunts that he has pulled so far in his career.
He blamed the favoritism of the selectors and coaches for his failure in F/C.
He openly claimed that it is his dream to play for Australia before he got a reality check and now he finds himself in the national squad because he is experienced in failing in Australia, even though he has not proved himself in F/C or PSL.
Selecting him is a slap in the face of all the spinners who are far better than him and have put in the hard yards in F/C to prove themselves instead of running away to other countries.
We had a good top order of Fakhar, Babar and Talat developing but Misbah clearly has other ideas which are inevitably going to bring the team down.
Babar and Fakhar are still there. Hussain Talat scored 40 and 55 in first 2 matches against SA in T20 series but the knocks werent according to the required run rate and he couldnt finish the jo in both the matches where he played with the strike rate of 125 while chasing 180+ and 134 while chasing 190+ and Pak lost both the matches. 3rd match he was given no 5 because obviously he couldnt do the job required in first 2 matches even though he scored runs and he scored 4 there.
He was bashed on PP as well like no tmw, though one can argue if 1 wasnt a suitable position for him but the performances he gave against SA didnt warrant a selection.
He is doing better now in national T20 cup but needs to learn how to go about the targets and finish the matches and on Pak's management part maybe to know not to play him at no 3.
I personally like Talat. He is not as talented as Babar or Haris but I don’t think he half has bad as some state. He looks pretty good to me for our batting standards.
I agree that he shouldnt have done the things he did and said the things he said. However, if we are big hearted enough to allow Amir to come back after what he did then we shouldnt have a problem in accepting emotional actions and outbursts of Usman Qadir as a mistake on his part.
In terms of performance he has done decently over the last year or so in T20s including Big Bash and National T20 with an economy of under 7 in his career and in national T20 cup as well. Again if the team management wanted a leggy there isnt anybody who has set the world on fire, yes it can be argued if management's obsession with leggies is appropriate or not and maybe someone like Zafar Gohar or Umer Khan could have been in the T20 squad.

Asif all is going a stellar job. Hence keep getting persisted with. He's so good that he's yet to get a 50. Yes let's kick out talat after stocking 55, 41 and 1, because asif score them all the time. Performance of asif ali deserves persistence for the next 10 years.
Asif Ali was given 18 ODIs and 20 T20 internationals by Mickey Arther, if he was so bad and Mickey is such a great coach how did that happen?
Now when Misbah (Who you are openly fan of) selects him for few T20s then why its being called persistence.
Coming to Talat, I like him but going at a SR of 125 and 134 for 30+ and 40+ balls while chasing 180+ and 190+ isnt on but I think he was hard done by Mickey on being forced to play at no 3 which he wasnt used to even in domestics.
Shameless usman qadir should never be selected. Here you are writing an essay justifying his selection.
Hussain Talat, Ali Imran and Rizwan Hissain is the future top 4 with Babar Azam we need to invest in them

It is not even about how good or bad he is (not international material but anyway). It is about the fact that he has a massive chip on his shoulder.
Just because he is Qadir’s son doesn’t mean that he entitled to play for Pakistan.
He played only one F/C season and he was so pathetic he didn’t get another opportunity, and he started to cry about favoritism (even though his father was a legend) and how it was his dream to play international cricket for Australia.
He went to Australia, did well in club cricket but unsurprisingly failed in BBL where he eventually got dropped.
After burning his bridges in Pakistan by openly expressing his desire to play for Australia, he got a massive reality check in Australia who made it clear to him that he has no chance of playing for them, and thus he returned to Pakistan with egg on his face.
Instead of working hard on his bowling in Pakistan and putting in the hard yards like everyone else, he labored under the delusion that he could actually make it in Australia when he couldn’t in Pakistan.
He also had the gall to state that he has been mistreated because he is Qadir’s son. Imagine - according to his highness, it is a disadvantage to be the son of a legend.
He is an entitled, deluded brat who thinks it is his right to play international cricket even though he doesn’t have the talent for it. I don’t think Pakistan cricket needs another show-off leg spinner when we already have one.
His underserved and unjustified selection is largely thanks to his friendship and family ties with Babar and Akmal family and perhaps also as a tribute to his late father.
However, it is a slap on the face of the superior spinners in Pakistan who are thousand times better than him and haven’t consistently failed like him at professional level.
I hope he gets picked for his “experience in failure” in Australia and gets smashed like no tomorrow, because that is exactly what he deserves.
He’s used to Aussie wickets and he is a terrific batsman in Aussie conditions - I would actually bat him at Number 4 in Australia.Usman Qadir’s selection boils my blood. He is used to being mediocre in Australian conditions, which is why he got dropped from his BBL franchise and CA squashed his dream of playing for Australia. That is the only reason why he is back in Pakistan.
Batting at number 4 against Australia? He won’t even average 10 against the Australian pace battery. He is a club level cricketer who thinks he is entitled to play international cricket because he is Abdul Qadir’s son.
