Positions 5/6 could well include someone like Haris Sohail who can bowl or maybe we'll still need Malik/Hafeez to rescue us even then in which case we have spin from them too.

We need a genuine spinner if we want to do well in Indian conditions.

Well. Pakistan should address the bogeyman first. Whatever bowling line up you choose, you can not compete with India in world cup on professional level and will lose due to weak mentality towards the game thus succumbing under the pressure. The mental aspect should come before others and it will take years to build one. Pakistan should start this or else, it'll find itself in losing side again.

Or hope, India gets kicked out before facing them.

We need to groom haider ali for one of those slots in the middle. And we need to find another batter maybe saud Shakeel or even better if we can get someone who can be a part time spinner.

We do seem to be developing a good nucleus of our bowling attack and the names you mentioned would probably be the main guys. It’s the part timers we need, ideally two of them. Someone should get imam to get some bowling experience too...

Hasan + Rauf + Shaheen (pacers for 20 to 25 overs)
