While Poms played their last match on saturday and have already got some rest, the winner between Pakistan v SL will only have one rest day before such a big match. Not ideal, especially for the fast bowlers.

Pakistan have just played on the same ground that will be used in the Semi-Final against England.

They won't be going in cold.

5 consecutive days (90 overs each day) of test cricket is played, I'm sure they can play 200 overs on 3 days.

Pakistan/Sri Lanka will get to play their last group game knowing exactly what they need to do in terms of run-rate etc? Is it fair?

There's whining. And there's pathetic whining.

Shouldn't be different from playing consecutive ODIs in a bilateral series.

We've played England a lot in recent years so there shouldn't be any surprises we need to prepare for.

Plus it might be good for us to play soon after this performance as the bowlers are in a good rhythm.

Best day of the week weather wise in Cardiff!!

Sunny and warm..

Lets hope we win today

Amir, Junaid, and Hasan are going to blank England in the semis. They don't know what is coming for them :wasim :waqar :amir :junaid :hasan

The event organizers weren't expecting Pak or SL to be in the running for the semis, hence they are made to play the last group game and it also happens to be close to the semifinal fixture.

Slap on the face of organizers.

No. But the CT schedule is hilarious. First two games were from same group!!! Then next two match from other group.
