Azhar Ali: 7/10 - Stable, Slow, Showed he can play fast but should be replaced in long run to give Pakistan an actual explosive opening partner

Ahmed Shehzad: 2/10 - Did not fire. as expected. Pakistan has found a replacement

Fakhar Zaman: 10/10 - Find of the tournament for Pakistan. Since joining the side Pakistan has had 50 run partnerships in every match and going at run a ball. This was the hitter at the top that Pakistan badly needed.

Baber Azam: 6/10 - Ok Tournament. Showed some brilliance in Semis and Final and that is the play he should play, not like the initial 3 games of the tournament.

Shoaib Malik: 4/10 - was expected to be the best pakistan batsman but ended up being nothing special, an Off series for him overall

Mohammad Hafeez: 6/10 - Bad games all the way up until the Semis where like Baber Azam he went all out. If he plays this way all the time, half of Pakistan worries in lower order is gone.

Imad Waseem: 4/10 - Very ordinary tournament . did nothing special with the ball or bat.

Sarfraz Ahmed: 8/10 - After a very poor game he improved captaincy with every game . Won the match for Pak vs SL which was a virtual QF

M, Amir : 7/10 - after being injured for some of the first game and the semi final and with other games where he did not pick up wickets, he needed a game to showcase why he is considered a special talent. Broke the back of the best batting lineup in cricket with what many are saying the best spell of bowling this entire tournament in the final.

Shadab Khan : 6/10 - Ok tournament. Bowled briliantly at times but at 18 showed inexperience and was tonked around a bit. Future for Pakistan for sure.

Hasan Ali: 10/10 I doubted he would ever be good before the first game and after the first game but upped his gear to a whole new level. Got a wicket in every single spell he bowled. biggest factor in Pakistan getting into the final.

Junaid Khan: 7/10 Good games throughout where he bowled consistently and much better than previous tours and tournaments. He is back to bowling at good pace with swing .

Special Mentions

Rumman Raees: 7/10 in his only game where he bowled brilliantly when Amir was injured in Semi Final.
Wahab Riaz: 0/10 Career over.

Pakistan should start working on phasing out Malik and Hafeez. Younger batsmen are required to be drafted in and Sarfraz needs to come up the order

Amir deserves a 10/10, brilliant with the bat and unbelievable with the bowl throughout the tournament, even in the matches he was wicket less he was bowling outstandingly well. Got Pakistan through Sri Lanka game into the Semi Finals and then tore over the top 3 batsmen of Champions Trophy( Shikhar, Kohli( 2 times) and Rohit).

Azhar- 6/10. Got runs consistently but a bit slow. Even the England game though top scored, kind of felt the others would have chased 220 down too, Fakhar, Hafeez, Babar all getting quick runs without too much trouble. Again today scored alright, but he kind of got out at the right time so bigger hitters could flourish.

Fakhar- 10/10. Incredible tournament for him.
Babar-6/10. Not great, not terrible. Average.
Hafeez- 8/10. Before this match would have been a 6. But played a really good innings today, as well as finishing the match against India, and provided utility with the ball throughout the tournament. Surprisingly ended with an average of 49 SR over 90, shows how much he improved in the latter stages. Wanted him drop before, but he really stepped it up this final. That final knock was really good, I'm shocked I didn't expect it.

Malik -4/10 Looked in form, but failed to convert. Probably would have scored more up the order, feel a bit bad rating him 4, but he didn't really contribute much this tournament.
Sarfraz-9/10 Excellent tournament for him, bat, gloves, captaincy.
Imad- 5/10- Mostly forgettable tournament by him
Shadab- 6/10. Took important wickets, but also got hit a bit. Bowled better than figures suggest.
Amir- 8/10. Figures may not look great, but produced the goods when it counted with the ball and a very important innings against SL.
Junaid- 8/10, consistently good with the ball
Hasan Ali- 10/10, great tournament for him, best player.

Riaz, Shehzad- 2/10. Fahim- 3/10 (though he didn't really get much chance). Rumman Raees- 7/10.

Sri Lanka - 10/10. Thanks for the dropped catches and giving us a sniff at doing the impossible. Hopefully the board sends them a lot of Mitahi tomorrow.

I would give Junaid a 9. This was his comeback tournament and he bowled consistently well. Shows his hard work and dedication for improvement. Still remember that deadly spell alongside Amir that rocked Sri Lanka's middle over.

Malik and hafeez are weak links.

Azhar needs to keep on batting same way . Otherwise needs to go also.

@ op

I think Sarfi deserves a 9/10 for his brilliant captaincy, wicket keeping and match winning 61 against SL.

-1 for the few hiccups in team selection and batting order.

Azhar Ali - 8/10 (Played out of his skin in this game and was our 2nd highest scorer of the tournament)
Fakhar Zaman - 10/10 (Played Aggressive Cricket and was our highest run scorer)
Babar Azam - 7/10 (2 failures 2 not outs and 1 good 40 odd I'd say about average)
Mohammad Hafeez - 8/10 (Great performance in the knockouts and bowled well against SA)
Shoaib Malik - 2/10 (Nothing Really to talk about)
Sarfraz Ahmed - 10/10 (Captained well, and won us the game with Amir against SL with the bat)
Imad Wasim - 5/10 (Did nothing really with the bat, just his bowling I guess but under average I'd say)
Shadab Khan - 7/10 (Went for a few runs here and there but bowled well in the Semi and Final)
Mohammad Amir - 9/10 (Didn't pick up wickets in initial games but bowled well and a world class performance today, along with match winning effort with the bat against SL)
Hasan Ali - 10/10 - (Inserted that excitement in Pakistan that was missing and best bowler of the tournament)
Junaid Khan - 8/10 (Bowled well and found reverse swing overall good tournament for him.

The rest I won't include because they only played a single match or didn't play at all.

Hasan 9 : consistently threatening and infectiously energetic
Fakhar 8: played with immense courage and along with Hasan gave Pakistan the self belief they needed to win
Amir 8: was the main reason we won against SL and deserved to be the MOTM today
Sarfaraz 7.5: led pretty well barring a few hiccups and played a crucial innings against SL
Azhar 7: was the most consistent batsman after Fakhar and played his assigned role perfectly well
Junaid 7: very good comeback by Junaid. Bowled with penetration after a long time
Shadab 6: showed he belongs at this level
Hafeez 5: redeemed himself to an extent with today's innings and a couple of good bowling spells
Babar 4.5: didn't play to his potential but today's innings was important in the context of the game
Imad 4: barring the spell against SA he was disappointing throughout
Malik 2: failed to do anything of note. Should've been replaced by Haris.

Raees 7: showed why he is one for the future in LOIs
Shahzad 2: for gracing us with his presence and for hogging the trophy at the end
Wahab 0: .........

for playing extremely well in the first game, so that we don't choose them in the rest of the games.
One of the main reasons why Pak won the cup was that these two played only one game.

sarfraz 20/10 (200%)

deserves much more credit than everybody else is giving him here

he is not only captaining brilliantly, but keeping brilliantly and batting brilliantly as well

has sorted the issue of team management very early and has picked up captaincy brilliantly

i think sarfraz should move up the order and not damage his batting career, i still think sarfraz is the best reliable batsman in the team to be honest

hasan ali is the only one ill rate as high as sarfraz 10/10

junaid khan needs to work on first spell 7/10

amir did brilliantly in the final but i would reserve my judgement because it was only one game, amir needs to be consistent 7/10

fakhar is getting good batting but i think he will soon be found out, playing too many risky shots and has simply gotten away with in too many times, fakhar needs improvement in his batting, with this, he deserves full credit for his CT performance so il rate him high 8/10

rest, dont care

Amir being hyped to the moon by some. Yes he performed in the final when it mattered most, but was bog average throughout the tournament with an inferior bowler like Junaid outdoing him vs SL. Nothing world class in the other games save for the final, which was an incredible performance, admittedly despite having a colossal mountain of runs backing him up. But 1 game doesn't make you world class overnight.

Too many times over the last year have seen an awesome performance followed by few average ones and bad ones. If he can attack like that more he'll look just as good as he did before.

Azhar -8
Our very own batman. The hero this team needs, but not the one they deserve.
Strong and stable, Azhar still has a place in this current world of 350 scores. Sets the base, allows the hitter to settle and as we've seen he can work on his game to improve.

SHahzad-9
His failure allowed Fakhar to get a debut. Plus good fielding as a sub.
Shahzad has been a non playing member in both 2009 and 2017. Coincidence- I think not.

Fakhar-10
No words needed. Changed our fortunes

Malik-7
Looked good against India and crucial knock against South Africa. Seems to be a calming influence.

Hafeez-7
Awful awful batting which was losing us games but his bowling was crucial at getting the squeeze on. Also stepped up in the final.

Babar -6
Disappointing but improved in the semi and final.

Sarf-9
What a leader we have. World class.

Imad-7
Still unsure of his role but bowled well when needed. Crucial against South Africa.

Hassan Ali-12
Had big expectations but wow. What a champion. We need to keep him fit. Don't
Think he bowled a bad over all tournament.

Shadab-8
Seems to lose confidence but bowled well throughout. Top fielding as well

Amir -10
His batting against Lanka alone adds 3 points. Didn't have an average game with the ball and the india group game turned when he went of the pitch. Redemption.

JK-10
The under appreciated gem. Team of the tournament for a reason. Kept tight even when not getting wickets and was crucial for us. Deserves more credit.

Faheem-9
Served drinks with great vigour and looked decent against Lanka. Particularly impressive with the bat. Huge improvement on your anwar Ali's and sohail tanvirs.

Rumman -8
Looked great and unfortunately had to miss out in final. Superb at the death
