Pakistan players' performance watch in NatWest T20 Blast 2017

Junaid Khan bowled well today, his team won. Amir had better figures among his teammates, although in a losing cause

Any news on whether Imad Wasim and Sarfraz have been granted their visas?

Amir playing today against a Surrey team likely to include KP, Roy and Finch/Sangakkarra. Should be entertaining to say the least!

yes, but sky sports decide to televise worcestershire vs derbyshire instead

What?! That comes as something of a surprise.

They showed essex vs surrey a couple of weeks ago when it was at chelmsford so I guess they have to be fair and show Worcestershire vs Derbyshire because they also have fans who want to watch on tv. I would have loved to go Oval tonight but I have work

To be honest, I am a little surprised that all the t20 games aren't broadcast. I understand the "fairness" point, but Surrey v Essex looks like it will be a real blockbuster- a real shame it won't be televised. I am tempted to go but the weather is putting me off.

There's well over 100 games, it would be a logistical nightmare. Forecast looks fine for tonight, get down there if there's tickets left!

Has maddy been given visa yet?

Nope. Cancelled.

Roy hit wicket, interested to see how that happened.

Amir finishes his spell with 4-0-13-2, with his last over producing a run out also. Surrey end with 150-9, Petersen the only person making a real mark with 52(35).

The way Finch and Roy dominated the bowling of Southee, Finn etc. today just shows how well Amir bowled well against them the other day.

these 2 fours from vince hav done some damage...
but still good figures... indeed very good if u look at others..
mohammad amir 2 ovrs 10 runs no wicket

Afridi once again poor with the bat scoring 13 of 14 balls and average with the ball taking 1 for 25 of his 3 overs.

Another show of good bowling by Amir giving only 18 runs of his four overs at 4.5 per over while taking a wicket.

Afridi, Amir and JK all playing today. Amir against Glamorgan, Afridi against Surrey, JK against Durham

Mohammad Amir (Essex Eagles) has bowled more dot balls (75) and has the highest dot ball rate of any bowler to
record 3+ overs this season (51.7%).

Interesting stat

So h's bowling defensive lines or teams playing him out?

If he was bowling defensive lines in t20, he would be found out. Watch the highlights from the games and the answer will become clear.

To bowl that many dot balls in t20 on such small grounds just shows how he is a world-class bowler.

Yeah definitely speaks to his quality

2-53 off 4 overs for Junaid Khan today. Expensive but everyone else got smashed too

You cannot question that in T20, dot ball is gold in T20, no matter how you look at it. Its not easy to bowl defensive line and length in T20, he bowls upfront and in death, not easy time to bowl in those overs. Imagine Amir bowling in middle overs, his ECO and Dot Balls would be 30% better...

Amir will get more success in all formats if other bowlers give him support, we saw that with Hasan and Junaid in CT. Amir is gold standard of how to bowl in LOIs with new ball(all over the world), we are just too impatient and kind of thankless, he rarely bowl rubbish with new ball. Other teams(including western), fear him the most and try to play out as much as they can....After CT his death skills will be enhanced as well!!

That's too expensive for front line bowler... I like Rees in LOIs, because he has better control. He will take over Junaid sooner or later...

Right now Junaid only plays ODIs. I feel like he is a waste of space unless he comes into either Test or T20 team. Hopefully he will replace Wahab in T20 squad though.

Mohammad Amir playing tonight against Middlesex at Lords. Middlesex have the likes of McCullum and Morgan in their team should be tasty

Pakistanis in action today:

Junaid Khan in action today against Nottinghamshire who have the likes of Alex Hales, Brendan Taylor, Samit Patel
Shahid Afridi in action today against Gloucesteshire

Afridi dropped from the Hampshire team.

Junaid Khans game abandoned due to rain without a ball bowled.

Mohammad Amir's Essex in action tonight against Gloucestershire. Live on sky sports at 1900 UK time

There was a fella in another thread claiming that Amir had a back injury, any news on that?

the toss was done yesterday between Essex and Gloucestershire but then it started raining again, Amir was in the 11

Warwickshire win toss against Lancashire and are fielding first so JK will be defending

Shahid Afridi's Hampshire in action tonight against Kent Spitfires. Match is NOT televised tonight, for those of you wondering.

More likely to get selected now we're back at home and can possibly put a bit in the pitch for the spinners and shove the boundaries as far back as we can. 3 spinners is still a rare occurrence though

Yeah I hope they recall him. I think dropping him may have been a wake up call for him to tell him that just because he is an overseas player he isn't guaranteed a place in the 11. We've seen in the past for Pakistan that when he comes back after being dropped he has performed well; hopefully if he is recalled today he plays well
