I am not sure about County Championship but I am pretty sure that for T20 Blast, you have to play in the group stage to be eligible for the Quarter Final onwards. Otherwise, teams could scrape it into the knockouts and then suddenly call in amazing overseas players etc which would be unfair. Therefore he will not be playing in the T20 Blast.

) MIRACLE ! Am stunned by all the support we've had at the Oval, loyal Bears fans maybe not as loyal as Villa fans though Right, HitWicket; would you like to lose to us in the semis or the final ? Excellent batting from Elliot and Granhome, the kiwis have kept our team afloat, credit to Patel to; that man wasn't born in Brum but you'd not be able to tell he's not one of us, appreciate his efforts over the years and loyalty.

Yeah he was the last one remaining since the knockouts started.

Lancs (Junaid), Essex (Amir) and Yorks (Sarfaraz) were all knocked out while Fakhar's Somerset stint was over before it began...

Following Birmingham’s win at Surrey in the last of the quarter-finals tonight, the draw has been made for the semi finals on Saturday week, September 2, at Edgbaston – and the order confirmed.

11am – Birmingham Bears v Glamorgan

230pm – Hampshire v Notts Outlaws

The final will follow at 645pm.

Sunday September 3 is available as a reserve day.
