Pakistan players' performance watch in NatWest T20 Blast 2017

Looking forward to this. After Amir handed us our behinds the other day in the FC match, and the defeat to Derbyshire in the previous T20 match - there's no better match to stop the rot for Yorkshire.

Excited to see Sarfraz again, he looked good last time out.

Were these games sporadically televised until finals day last year as well? I can't remember. Either am following the Blast more closely which is why this has become evident or ECB / Sky have cut their budget.

Not a great start from Sarfraz. The spinner Parkinson causing a few problems.

Sarfraz can't run two's even to save his life. Turned down atleast 3 times where Marsh was even heard shouting saying two two for him to be sent back by Sarfraz.

Then only for Sarfraz to get out cheaply.

Fitness is a big issue here for him and the other Pakistan players who need to learn and adapt to running hard and putting pressure on the fielders.

Junaid was wasted for 2 overs earlier on as his time to come on is after the 10th over where he comes and bowls full and yorkers

Sarfraz having a shocker. Dropped catch and a missed stumping lol.

Leaning takes an absolute stunner just now!

In a way its good that Sarfraz is failing at 5 and after 12 overs.
He needs to realize he is unfortunately not a good hitter and the best place for him is to come at 4 in t20s between 6-12/14 overs. I dont care about Yorskhire but Sarfraz's limited hitting ability might cost Pakistan important match coming at death. We need him the captain so he has to play too.

No he doesn't have to play.... its already proven that you don't need Sarfraz... ho back to ICC trophy final, where his contribution was zero.

That's the thing with captaincy, it shines a big bright light on you and it brings all weak points to the forefront. At some point he won't be able to live off performances of other people and scrutiny will be on him to make a telling contribution consistently.

In a year or so I expect your avatar to be BabarHarris.

Thanks for the good laugh! I see the CT final is still hurting...

Sarfraz Ahmed's Yorkshire in action again today at 1430 BST away at Leicestershire. Match not televised unfortunately

Leicestershire win the toss and will bowl first so not long till Sarfraz bats

Just the two runs for Sarf today.

Would be good if he got to bat a bit higher up the order but their top four seems to be pretty settled already.

One Pakistani in action today. Mohammad Amir's Essex away at Gloucestershire for a 1430 start (Local time). Essex win would put them back into contention for Quarter Finals. This match today is not televised unfortunately

It's awesome that Amir has gotten experience in county cricket, but in coming years, I think he should opt for the extra rest instead. This way, he will be able to play every match in every series.

Junaid Khan's Lancashire in action in the evening today as they host Worcestershire starting at 1830 local time. Match is televised which is good so we can see JK in action tonight

Sarfraz Ahmed's Yorkshire in action tonight at 1900 is televised and Amir's team is in action tonight too but not televised

Kent 159/0 in 15 overs.

Amir 0/14 in 3 overs.

Amir's economy = 4.66

Other bowlers' combined economy = 12

:mv

Absolutely brilliant bowling from Amir, it seems he was bowling on some other track than his team.

Ends with figures of 20 for 1 from 4 overs, taking the wicket of Denly who scored 126 out of a total of 221/2 from 20 overs.

Bowling figures of all the other bowlers combined were 201/1 from 16 overs at almost 13 per over.

Last round of group matches today.

Junaid Khan's Lancashire at home to Birmingham Bears for a 1900 BST start
Shahid Afridi's Hampshire at home to Somerset for a 1900 BST start
Mohammad Amir's Essex away at Sussex for a 1900 BST start.

Mohammad Amir's game is the televised game tonight

Yorkshire made 260/4... Sarf didn't get a chance to bat.

Adam Lyth 161 off 73 balls. :afridi

Was at the ground yesterday- Lyth was smashing it all over the park. Was a great atmosphere and the local crowd was obviously lapping it up!

I was hoping to see Sarfaraz in action but he didn't bat, had a quiet night behind the stumps and then he didn't stick around after the match! Talk about timing! :sarf

I think it was telecast but didn't get a chance to watch. He had a shocker last time behind the stumps so I guess a quiet night is progress!

Good bowling by Amir, ends with figures of 4 overs 27 for 1, which also included a drop catch that went for 4.

Didn't get the whole last over but this will have to do. :mv

Afridi 4-0-23-0 and 5 (7). Hampshire thrashed, Somerset win by 98 runs.

Essex also lost by 55 runs.

Junaid 4-0-28-2 but Lancs lost as well, by two wickets to Warwickshire.

After tonight’s last round of group matches, the line-up for next week’s quarter finals has been confirmed as below. All four matches will be shown live on Sky Sports.

Tuesday August 22 (630pm): Derbyshire Falcons v Hampshire

Wednesday August 23 (630pm): Glamorgan v Leicestershire Foxes

Thursday August 24 (630pm): Notts Outlaws v Somerset

Friday August 25 (7pm): Surrey v Birmingham Bears

(Winners qualify for Finals Day, Edgbaston, Saturday September 2 – the semi final draw will be held after the Surrey-Birmingham quarter final on Friday night)

Shahid Afridi's Hampshire are in action today in the Quarter Final away at Derbyshire. This game will be televised, starts at 1830 BST time

Afridi is the last remaining Pakistani player in the competition.

If Hampshire win today Afridi will book his ticket to Finals Day.

If not, there will be no Pakistani's left in the competition.

(Unless Fakhar is called up by Somerset now that the domestic T20 Cup is cancelled but given the visa issue and the fact that they are playing a QF in two days, it's highly unlikely)

Afridi has been having a great tournament, also great for the hampshire kids to learn from him. What time is his game live? A shame about the others :/

6:30 tonight man on Sky Sports!

Yea - shame about Sarfraz (Yorkshire), Junaid (Lancashire) and Amir (Essex)

Fakhar got screwed by PCB, with regards to his contract with Somerset. He already was having issues with his visa, but then PCB went and announced the domestic T20 Cup - which has now been postponed - however, that resulted in the Fakhar deal falling through, even though Somerset have their QF on Thursday.

I just dont see Somerset flying Fakhar in just to play on Finals Day if they make it through.

Isn't Amir coming back? Essex are out the blast though, their batting has beem awful

Fakhar actually got his visa the day PCB initially decided to revoke the NOCs. He's been done over big time by them.

100 for Afridi

If the old chairman was here
He'd be in media calling for his return

OUT, caught off a bouncer at fine leg, but what a great innings!! And surprisingly, it was his first T20 hundred!

Because he was wasted and himself at times wasted himself batting too low.
Opening is tailor made for him in T20s in powerplays as fielders are in.

2009 t20 world cup Pakistan won he batted at 3 and got 50s in the semi final and final.

Agreed. A forty ball 50 is also a very good knock in t20s from the opener but if afridi bats he will score a fifty in less than 40 balls always.

Most times in T20s for Pakistan he has always got out caught on boundary. Opening with only 2 men out even his mis hits would go for 4s and once he in he can hit big. Proper wasted himself
