If we lose tomorrow we will have to beat Bangladesh to avoid qualification whilst Bangladesh will be doing whatever is possible to qualify for semis

Actually, just checked.
Pakistan have to win at least one game from the remaining two games. If they lose both games, they can't make it among top 4.

This qualifying stuff is nothing but a drama and a farce given there are really only 7 teams in the world who can win a World Cup. I can bet my life that if Pakistan is forced through a qualifier for a world cup and they don't qualify, this farce of a qualifying tournament will end right there. ICC cannot afford to not have a India-Pakistan match at a World Cup. That's why they put both of them in the same group every time so that the match is a guarantee.

It's the top 4 from each group + hosts ( USA, WI) + Next 2 teams on ICC rankings. (that's 12 spots of direct qualification)
So even in the very unlikely event of not making the top 4, Pakistan will still qualify based on ICC ranking.
To decide the next 8 spots (it's a 20 team WC) this time the ICC is going with Regional qualifiers instead of Global qualifier. Now this is a decision which I don't like because Europe and Asia regions are very strong. Since both regions have only 2 spots, we might see one of Ireland, Netherlands, Scotland miss out in 2024 WC, and two of Nepal, Hong Kong, UAE, Oman also miss out. Whereas far weaker teams like Canada and PNG will make it to the WC due to lack of competition in their regions.

Don't confuse 'Qualifier' with the 'first round' of WC. Both are different.
Dont worry, Pakistan will not have to play the qualifier, even if they fail to finish in Top 4.

They should change their approach & get some hitters at the top of the batting line-up. They don't seem to understand that modern T20 cricket is about more than just winning the toss & chasing and hoping you're chasing less than 170.

Pakistan needs to win its next 2 matches not just to keep its semi finals hope alive but also because if they do not end in top 4 of their group they will not directly qualify for the next world cup.
For the t20 WC 2024 West Indies and USA being hosts are automatically qualified. The next 8 spots are taken by the top 4 teams in each group. The remaining 2 spots will be taken by the winners of teams playing qualifiers.
Pakistan currently is placed at 5th in the table. If they win both matches they end up 3rd after SA and IND. But if they lose against SA BD match will take them to 4 points if won. Then they have to wait for the outcome of INd vs ZIM.

You dont need to see any discussions, go to wiki page of 2024 world t20, you will see the qualification process.
Pakistan not under any "woes"
We are 4th ranked just in the ranking system. It doesnt matter where we finish in this tournament, the ranking cut off is nov 18.
Unless you want to make a thread to discuss and hope that pakistan doesnt qualify or shouldnt qualify than thats a different topic.
