Guys , as a cricket fan , feel though you may loose the test , Naseem shah is gonna be the beginning of good days for pak . Looks a great bowler and smarter than shoaib etc .

A strong pak team is what is really needed as it gives great games . Young talent coming through and think pak team will be in top 4 in tests by end of championship - just ensure nobody gets carried away into match fixing . It was sad to see magician Asif go as to us Indian fans , he was the best bowler after Akram and younis that Pak produced .

Best of luck and it’s exciting to see any asian fast bowler make the aussies or brits hop around !

We want to win in Australia. We’ve heard all this nonsense before.

Give this lecture to Misbah ul Haq, Waqar and Azhar Ali

Nothing is going to happen. Pakistan will never be a top team again. We had a good run from the 1970s to the 1990s, but is all over now.

Our decline post the 90s has been there for everyone to see but people were/are too delusional and optimistic to accept the reality.

The older generations are losing interest and the younger generations, who are growing up in mediocrity, will not be fussed with the mediocrity because that is all they have seen.

We are a proper mid-table team now.

Although I am all for playing rookies, imo newbies should only be tried in home tests (or tests against SL, WI, Bang), whereas the best 15 should be taken to countries like Australia, NZ, SA and England.

With Amir and Wahab unavailable and Hasan injured, the only options are rookies, besides Rahat Ali etc.

Guess it was a way out for Misbah divert the attention by selecting youngsters and after loss say it was inexperienced bowling attack

This is a blessing in disguise.

Look at the positive side. You have three teenage fast bowlers now.

good to know there is some sense prevailing around.

This is another lollipop being given out. Let's dwelve in facts

Fact 1 - Cricket isn't a game of individuals. It's played by a team where each player has his role. Today's cricket is hell lot more technology driven & it is a lot easier to blunt an individual by constantly studying him & figuring his weakness. As a team, you build a strategy & beat the other team with strategy. So, to say that there is another promising newbie on the block who will herald a golden age is simply bumkum. Those days are long gone when a last ball six by Miandad scarred an entire generation of players & sent them into a perennial inferiority complex. Today, teams are so mentally strong that they spring back in the very next game.

Fact 2 - A strong team needs dedicated players. I am sorry to say this but we all witnessed Pak players' level of dedication when they were snapped binging on junk foods & even caught smoking. This is a far cry from atheletes who maintain their body like a temple. Without proper fitness there is no way a player can slug out an entire day in field & constantly for days (even after matches, lot of players practice for entire days).

Fact 3 - A strong team needs a strong board. Current PCB is more concerned about how they can convince Australia A team (not even the national team) to tour Pak. I suppose winning is the last thing in their minds.

What we have are actual FC rookies (barring Imran and Abbas). The result would not have been strikingly different, but that is the sane thing to do imo. Racing new horses on a difficult track doesn't do the team any favors, and also destroys the confidence of the rookies.

Pakistan cricket is like a patient in with a serious, serious condition. And they're applying band aid, trying out alternate medicine, totkas, whatever.

What's frightening is that perhaps applying band aid, alternate medicine and totkas is all anyone can do. And hope the patient is naturally resilient enough to recover by themselves.

End of Day 3 and Pakistan should definitely be disheartened. Azhar Ali must quit he is a pathetic captain today playing part-time bolwers for the most of the day and also with his defensive mindset and his defensive field.

The only positives were Naseem Shah, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and the babar- shan massod partnership
