This should really have been the team playing England in the A series.

Shukar allah ka , they use some brain to select good team...

But some more name i want to see like omair yousaf, nabi gul and imran rafiq

Does the PCB even remember that Zafar Gohar exists ?

Rizwan isn’t exactly “emerging”, would’ve liked Umair Masood instead.

Good squad otherwise

Where are Hasan Mohsin, Saif Badar? They could have easily replaced Khushdil and Rizwan who are getting their fair share of opportunities against the Eng Lions. Its really difficult to comprehend.

Yaar where is Zafar Gohar?!?!?!? I am so perplexed at his constant omission. It actually really upsets me.

Nonetheless a good squad & close the squad that should’ve been picked for the ‘A’ tours.

Suleman shafqat has definitely got connections a rubbish bowler who only has been selected due to connections.

So basically they dropped said shakeel from the A team while trash like rahat Ali etc are still playing.

But... but...Inzi is useless and corrupt :)).

Decent selection overall, especially Zeeshan Malik.

Still would have liked to see Muhammad Arif, Saif Badar, Nasir Nawaz, Umair Masood, Zafar Gohar, Nasim Shah, Danish Aziz and Saim Ayub in the mix but most of them are playing PSL so will get their chance then.

Do care to explain the reason of shafqat being selected by inside but not kamran ghulam and Zafar gohar.

He was the highest wicket taker of one of the U19 tournaments (or something like that). Not sure how though!

Good squad but would have been better if these players were selected.

Rizwan out, Umair Masood In

Khushdil out, Hasan Mohsin In

Sameen gul out, Arshid Iqbal in

Shafqat out, Zafar Gowhar in

This should have been our A squad against NZ A and Lions. Selecting 30+ oldies who aren't going to represent Pakistan serves no purpose.

Playing 11:
01. Zeeshan Malik
02. Ali Imran
03. Saud Shakeel
04. Mohammad Rizwan
05. Hussain Talat
06. Saad Ali
07. Khushdil Shah
08. Musa Khan
09. Mohammad Asgar
10. Mohammad Ilyas
11. Ghulam Mudasir

Received some kind words from Zeeshan Malik today for PakPassion's help in his selection in this squad.

Rizwan shouldn't be in this squad. His forum is good enough to at least be a back up for Sarfraz in the national team. Other than that a decent squad by Inzi.

5 players in the squad not in the PSL - that is a travesty.

Franchises have bigger things to worry about right now. One franchise has already defaulted. Not sure about other franchises but if I’m to guess, 2-3 franchises are probably on the verge of bankruptcy. When the prestige of the PSL is on the line, non selection of deserving players seems like a trivial matter. The overall state of affairs are bad.
Off topic, do you have any updates on the upcoming broadcast deal?

Excellent work man.

Zafar Gohar is one other player that badly needs PP's help to be noticed. If you could do something about that (if you haven't already), that would be greatly appreciated.

Once again, great work!

TalentSpotterPk One top run scorer in QAT with 700 odd runs imran rafiq is U-23 also syed Tauseeq shah who took 35 odd wickets why did they perform then if they wouldn't be selected
And how did Suleman Shafqat fill in legspin bracket is he in same calibre as Shahzaib ahmed or Usama mir etc

Fired four years ago following allegations of match-fixing, Ejaz Ahmed junior has been controversially appointed head coach of the Pakistan squad for the Asian Emerging Nations Cup, to be held in Karachi and Colombo in December.

The Pakistan Cricket Board’s move raised eyebrows but a PCB official insisted Ahmed was already doing coaching in domestic cricket after an inquiry found nothing against him.

The allegations of fixing a domestic T20 match against the former Test player surfaced when Basit Ali, also an ex-Test cricketer, claimed while commentating in a tournament, that Ejaz had told him he had fixed a game while coaching Sialkot.

According to Ali, Ejaz had told him that Sialkot lost a game on purpose to oust another team from the knockout stage of the tournament.

Soon after Ali made the comments, the board fired Ejaz as regional coach and suspended him.

Now, the PCB official said a subsequent inquiry had found no evidence of fixing against Ejaz, who played two Tests and as many ODIs during a very brief international stint in the 90s.

“The board resumed giving coaching assignments of junior teams in domestic cricket to Ejaz two years back,” he said.

The Pakistan team will be playing against Bangladesh, UAE and Hong Kong in the Karachi leg of the tournament from December 6 while India, Sri Lanka, Oman and Afghanistan play their matches in Colombo.

The Asian Cricket Council had to reschedule he tournament and organise it at two venues after India refused to tour Pakistan.

The semi-finals and final will be played in Colombo.

The Pakistani selectors have announced that discarded wicketkeeper-batsman, Muhammad Rizwan, will lead the squad which is a mixture of some seasoned players who have played for Pakistan and the top young performers of domestic cricket.

Pakistan Emerging squad: Sahibzada Farhan, Zeeshan Malik, Ali Imran, Hussain Talat, Saad Ali, Khushdil Shah, Saud Shakil, Muhammad Rizwan (captain, wicketkeeper), Ashiq Ali, Muhammad Asghar, Ghulam Mudassar, Sameen Gul, Musa Khan, Muhammad Ilyas, Suleman Shafqat

Basit is the cancer in our cricket and full of lies. PCB should take action against him first for baseless allegation. He did nothing as a junior selector and coach but select useless and unmerited players He should be sent a show cause notice to ask what did he do when he was given the job.

Saad Ali has been released by the team management from the ongoing third Test match against New Zealand. Saad Ali has been included in Pakistan squad for Emerging Teams Asia Cup which is commencing from December 6, 2018 in Karachi.

Was he in initial squad or there is an “injury” issue? Otherwise on can’t be included in a tournament squad randomly.

Can someone tell me how many dudes emerged from this so called emerging squad?

Ilyas, Musa and Mudassar all played in the PSL this year and were all fairly impressive.

Rizwan obviously played in the Aus series and scored 2 100s.

Kushdil was the star of the recent domestic one day cup.
Saad Ali will hopefully be drafted into the test team post-WC.

Ilyas and Mudassar were not impressive at all, will never make it to national team. One is too short, other is too skinny and both have no pace.
