What would happened if NZ beat India or SL beat Pakistan? How can you be so 100% sure thay results could have been how you wanted? SL was too good to be a walkover.

It's useless to argue with people who are just blinded in their hate. MRSN has only one agenda which is Akmal brothers propaganda, he hates Sarfaraz for taking over wicketkeeping from Kamran and for this reason he is going to discount Pakistan wins. Read his above posts as well as anywhere else he posts, for him it's all about Sarfaraz. I am not even dignifying him to reply to his posts.
Pakistan played much better as the tournament went on and indeed were unlucky not to make the semifinals.

I am okay with us finishing above sa, sl, wi, ban. We dnt have the batting fire power that can won us matches thats why we r not top 4 team i think current top 4 truly represent best 4 teams in world. Rooting for nz i m sure they will peak at right time n win the wc

Pakistan never aimed for run rate recovery after the WI game, didn't play key players until it was too late, made bowlers bowl wrong lengths in the initial games, had players in the team with poor record in England for far too long, made wrong calls upon winning tosses, did wrong bowling rotations/field placings, dropped far too many catches and so many other mistakes.
Yet could have made semi finals but for small things. Luck didn't go Pakistan's way this time.

Pakistan think tank absolutely failed them. Moment they suffered such a massive loss they should have started paying extra attention to the NRR . They should have tried increasing wherever they could. Afghanistan narrow win, NZ win. Their loss against India was also massive. They should have shut the shop and looked to get to a decent total. IT is all part of the strategy. Missed golden opportunity to get above NZ who beat lower ranked teams and finds themselves in the semi final.

Having seen the performances of Pakistan vs NZ, England, BD, SA one can tell Pakistan clearly had better performances than NZ. But couple of horrendous losses tanked them. NZ made sure they didn't lose badly.

Pak punched above their weight in this world cup given their rankings and current form coming into the wc. Luck and destiny and a parosi mulk didn't wish for us to come to the semis

Lol even experts like Wasim Akram were like dont worry about NRR and just win the matches atleast. Everyone took for granted that other teams would screw up and that Pak would get the extra point which will help them qualify and make up for their low nrr.
To be honest Sarfaraz poor defensive captaincy is to blame. He constantly let opponents recover to post par totals with his ultra defensive captaincy and field placements. The pitches were slow and difficult to bat on against spinners and medium pacers late in the games so there was no way the batsmen could make up for it
