I am not sure to be honest.
At junior level, don’t look at the scores - rather look at how it’s scored. I found Haider a bit laborious to execute shots - some of the fundamental cricket shots like cut, pull, drives, dancing down the track drives against spinners should be natural to batsmen. The other opener looked effortless in his 64 in last game, but not Haider. And, very few players in history have been successful playing arias shots too many times - top batsmen do it on grass, and into gaps.
Also, another key is the gradual progression in an innings - even Bradman has 23 of his 80 innings in single digit, means every batsman will struggle at the start of their innings, then gradually gets settled, comfortable & commanding. Hurairrah looked in complete command in last game, but I didn’t see that command in Haider’s batting with time - which resulted in PAK chocking today even after a decent partnership. I haven’t seen many bottom hand players to be successful in long term - Jayasuriya may be, but batting is a top hand, side on game - Haider uses his bottom hand too much for my likings and he is often chest on playing his shots - most of those will end as airborne.
I hope he makes it, but at this current state, I think he’ll end in failures once he is exposed to international cricket.
