I fell asleep about 4am US EST or just after Doolan's dismissal whenever that was but geez to go from 1/120 or whatever it was to all out 300-odd is pretty bad. 10 wickets in a bit over two sessions. Will try and watch the highlights a bit later but this match is pretty much Pakistan's to lose now. We will do well to bat into Day 5 I reckon. Nobody in this lineup can bat time other than Clarke and maybe Rogers. I did see Doolan's dismissal, for a No3 he doesn't really fill you with confidence. This is the position that the likes of Greg Chappell, Justin Langer, Ricky Ponting filled and Doolan doesn't look up to it.
As for the bowling it's pretty much gone exactly how I predicted - MJ would be the only threat, the spinners would be worse than useless and Siddle would try hard all day but be ineffectual. On these wickets you need to have pace and bounce to bother the batsmen or you need to be able to move the ball, either with natural swing and seam or reverse it.
Hopefully Clarke gave them a spray in the sheds afterwards...might be hard given how he was one of the ones that failed. He hasn't had much time out in the middle though.
