Allrounder Mitchell Marsh will leave the Australian squad in Pakistan to continue his recovery from a low-grade hip flexor injury.

He will be released from the squad following assessment that he would not be available for selection in the remaining three matches of the tour.

Marsh will travel to India to link with the Delhi Capitals squad where former Australian and current New South Wales physiotherapist Pat Farhart will manage his recovery following an isolation period.

Australian team medical staff deemed it the most effective way for Marsh to recover as quickly as possible without having to interrupt his rehabilitation.

“Being able to focus on my recovery without the travel and isolation break is the best approach. I am disappointed to miss the Pakistan series but look forward to re-joining the Australian squad for our next tour,” Marsh said.

All available players and staff returned negative tests following the match last night and again this morning.

I said it during the test series and I’ll say it again, EVEN if we’re losing 2-0 to Australia in the ODI’s, I still expect Babar to come out at the toss and say “same team”.

Now, obviously Shaheen will come back into the team but he won’t be replacing the out of form or finished Hassan Ali. Instead we’ll see him replacing Wasim Jnr.

Haider is awful...shaheen woudnt have done much ..we are just awful there is no batting talent i am afraid and that is a reality that is why we play old school cricket saving wickets in hand.

This tuk tuk culture needs to change if we have rise up in rankings. Opening is the easiest in ODI'S with PP. For reference watch travis head innings from yesterday he was playing so freely lofting the ball over the in field.
Because he’s capable of scoring selfish runs doesnt make him undroppable.
Pak needs to set an attacking template to play modern day game and pick players accordingly. We have nothing to lose as borderline minnows. Only way is up i think. Yes it may lead to more defeats but the message will be clear in every aspiring cricketers head as to what is required to play at this level for Pak

See this is a problem when you blindly hate someone. If you have been following I have stated clearly if rizwan doesn’t perform this series kick him out and have also stated that he should bat at 6. I support Pakistan not individuals like you. The bottom line is imam along with Fakhar at the moment are out best openers. No matter how our clueless fans see it as. Majority people hate imam because they think he’s a parchi and that’s the only word they know.

It's embarrassing to see our team play ODIs. Another series loss looking likely sadly.

It's Babar or bust. No impact from any player. No strategy apart from relying on top 3 to score 95% of the runs. Bowling attack has no direction. Opening bowlers have no game plan and look like practice machines for the batters. Looks like a team intensely short of motivation and direction.

Hasan should be kept away from the new ball as much as possible. He's a M Sami no.2 in the making.

If imam can improve his SR and play for the team there's no reason he should be going out. SR of 80 in modern ODI game is unacceptable
